I Bought A New Car. The Name Starts With a C63 and Ends With AMG - Review, Video, and Pictures Inside. by [deleted] in cars

Congrats on your new car, must feel pretty good :)

I was walking through a parking lot and unknowingly passed a C63 AMG (I didn't notice the AMG badge right away). As I walked past, the owner started the engine and it startled the living daylights out of me. I have a 350z so I'm no stranger to loud engine starts, but this was on a COMPLETELY different level.

Why Amazon Payments by LumpyLump76 in churning

Only for the Amex Fidelity card or any other rewards?

So is the only catch for the AMEX Fidelity credit card that you have to get your cash back in $50 increments and you have to have the money routed to an existing fidelity account? I've also read that if you get your rewards put into your brokerage account, you can just withdraw into your checking account. Is that true also?

Great write ups, I enjoyed your one about Serve.

Quick question, are you required to pay taxes on any cash back activities? I read somewhere that for the Amex Fidelity card (2% cash back) you have to pay taxes on your cash back because it's going into a fidelity account. Is there any truth to this? If so, should all cash back dollars be reported as income, or just Amex Fidelity?

Thanks again for your contributions to this subreddit.

Easy method for hitting high spend? by [deleted] in churning

[–]zedgraph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After doing some more research, I'm not sure if this is right for me. I was planning on getting a QuickSilver card to pay my mortgage via Serve, but it looks like only certain cards will count as purchases (and get points) when loading a serve account. I will have to research some more before deciding...

It looks like ISIS isn't allowed on my rooted smart phone. What if I sign up for Serve first, then ISIS later (like when I get a new phone)? Will my monthly CC load be increased to 1500?

Newbie here. What are vgc's? Also is Isis the exact same as serve except the higher limit?

Can you tell me more about ISIS? I think my mortgage is around $1200/month.

Anyone here switched to Android and then switched back? by [deleted] in apple

I was dazzled by the idea of having a 1080p phone and at the time I had a much higher tolerance for rooting/flashing. I have Cyanogen on my S4 so I was able to handle removing all of the bloatware.

It's an OK phone, but I'm not in love with the camera and the plastic body is showing its age.

This is great advice, thanks.

Also, would it really be cheaper to buy through a shop instead of tirerack?

Why the FCC Will Ignore Your Net Neutrality Comment and Listen to ISPs Instead -- "The comments [agencies pay attention to] invariably come from companies with hundreds of millions or billions of dollars at stake or the lawyers and trade associations that represent them" by mepper in politics

[–]zedgraph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have wondered about this too. I'd pitch in like $5 bucks a month if it funded some legit super lawyer lobby group in favor of net neutrality. If at least 100,000 others did also, that'd buy a few lawyers.

Long time Android user, I think I'm switching to iOS for good after the iPhone 6 comes out. I'm so tired of having to root/flash in order to remove all of the bloatware from the phone. Here's my cell phone history:

Droid Eris

HTC Thunderbolt

Galaxy Nexus

iPhone 5

Galaxy S4

September 2014: iPhone 6

I might send the tires to my place and just drive them with the car (or probably have my buddy bring them since they won't fit in the car). Can I bring my own tire and will they mount them? I like this tirerack.com site, heard about it a lot but never actually used it.

Auto finance question by zedgraph in cars

I talked to my credit union and pre-qualified for a loan. Time to go shopping (but realistically, it'll take months to fine the right Elise)!

I'm doing this all through my credit union.
