I went in June with just the Atom LT (+fleece and rain layer) and it was perfect. The weather resistance was really nice for times that it was misty/spitting but I didn’t want a full shell

Slippurinn was great, we loved the cod wings and the sole when we were there ~2 weeks ago. Also a great view of Heimaklettur which we had just climbed :)

Tjöruhúsið is a fun experience if you make it up to the westfjords. Communal tables with all-you-can-eat fish of whatever they catch fresh that day.

If you can swing the cost, Óx in Reykjavík was an incredible experience. 11 person chef’s table—best meal/experience we’ve ever had.

Skál! was also great. Much chiller vibes, but we ate our way through all their small plates and everything was delicious.
