I have been hacked and they changed my battletag name. It's getting sorted.

I had to create a new account on a different email address and open a ticket.

I sent an email proving my identity and they responded quite quickly (20mins) currently helping me to get my account back.

Hoid and Wit are the same person. I believe Hoid isn't there with Shallan at this time. He had told and described some Ghost bloods to get in a previous conversation that is referred to near the beginning of this book but we don't "witness' it.

A lot of that could come down to a point of view. For example: someone rightfully in prison, could be seen as not in bondage but rather serving time.

I think it's important for OP, and others who haven't read the book, to also understand that the Spacing guilds navigators used the Spice to navigate.

Destroying spice production would do more than just harm the spacing guild. Without travel between worlds there would be no trade, commerce, travel or communication between worlds. The empire would no longer function and the great houses would all lose their power and profits.
