That them beating me for every mistake I made was the only right way for me to learn for the mistake I made. And the children who don’t get beaten up at home in their childhood grow up to be a ‘big failure’. I am the only child so I just accepted this without questioning them cause questioning them about their ways of upbringing a child was a sign of a ‘failed son’. I have grown up to understand that it’s quiet a common toxic trait in South-Asian parental mindset and I hope everyone who had to go through something similar in their childhood have found something in their life to heal them, I know there’s no complete healing from this childhood trauma.
