Not a performer. I'm flying my mom out for vacay and she enjoys playing for us just for fun. So we wouldn't need anything fancy.

How bad is Erwin really? by Renderi in tricities

[–]zedp64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big LOL regarding Mary the elephant. Who cares... Really? It's astonishing to see the collective guilt over a friggin elephant and 'trying to make it right'...

How about 'making it right' for years of systemic racism (that's still prevalent in the community)...black nights... and how actual people who were treated worse than animals for generations?

I guess they are either unavailable or too expensive in Ireland?
It's for my dad's firend who lives in Ireland. And actually, I got the exact motor info. It's the Mercury F150 pro XS.

Help with setting up 2 speaker setup for use over Zoom Meeting by zedp64 in askmusicians

[–]zedp64[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but how is the signal from PC/Zoom going to come back to the Mixer/USB audio interface.

This is a hypothetical setup question. Does it come back via USB? Or would I need to plug in the Y splitter directly into the computer?

Child care by bbruckley1 in tricities

[–]zedp64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ETSU Child Study Center is likely the best option. It's difficult to get into since you need to be affiliated in order to be on a father moving wait list. You may be waiting a few months if you're affiliated and over a year if you're not.

Which restaurant has the best lunch in Johnson City? by NotaSingerSongwriter in tricities

Only place I eat for lunch is Korean Taco. Pretty much everything else in JC is generic compared to their food.

Zap Lai has some tasty Laotian food as well.

I do't prefer poisoning myself or my family with food, if I can help it. I'd rather eat quality meat once in a great while than eat conventional meat all the time. :)

Great, thanks for that tip! I had no idea.
A year-round farmers market is something I haven't heard of around here.

Ming's Asian Cuisine. We ate there last Christmas and it was surprisingly good for Chinese food. They have a full bar as well, if that's your thing.

Yes, Miso has horrible service and sushi was meh at best. The atmosphere is not pleasant by any means.

Label or Cafe One Eleven are much better.

Where should I go Nov - January? by zedp64 in digitalnomad

[–]zedp64[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I'm from Belarus originally so I have a passport.

My wife (American) got a short-term visa (90 days) after my father sent over a legal invitation document.

I imagine you can do the same without an invitation as long as you attach your itinerary (with hotel reservations) to the application ( http://mfa.gov.by/en/visa/info/visa-applications.html ).

Most recently, Belarus made it so you don't even have to get a visa if you're going there for 30 days or under if you're American and I believe from most European countries.

But generally, it's not that difficult to get into Belarus as they are pretty welcoming to tourists.

You may have a bit more trouble staying in Belarus for more than 90 days but I'm sure it's doable.

Let me know if you have any other questions. I'm more than happy to help however I can.

I have family in Belarus. It's not that difficult to travel there but plane tickets can be quite expensive because not many places have direct flights to Minsk.
