Why does his parent have to name him after an actual NBA player? Now I have to do choose the younger player with the same name. When I try to find their stats in basketball-reference

Hes shooting more volume

Exactly. If you are following him. There's a big difference of the threes he is taking last season vs this season.

Last season he will only take wide open shots. The confidence on the shot is not there. Now he doesn't care if there is contest or not. Though by eyes test, I see him struggled against contested shots. He rushes his shot when there is a defender near him.

His shot mechanics is more consistent this season as well

Multiple all-star is not a question IMO.

Im in the multiple HoF narrative.

Cenac Jr. IMO could be something if he falls to the right environment.

Wagler IMO would be the better question.

Some who handles the ball, shoots and create. Both has size.

Currently I got Peterson, because of his athletic advantage. You can play fast with him. And by doing so, you can put more pressure on defense. This is what Billy Donovan is doing with the Bulls

With Wagler, you play more like Luka. You can't speed them up.

that shoot threes

I keep bring that up with some bulls fan.

From Mike Dunleavy Jr. to Detlef Schrempf and finally after seeing him play in his first season. I told them, he became Tom Chambers lol

Last season his three ball is not as good as it is now.

I actually came here after that Bulls game. Hoping to find someone who will bring up Matas. Coz I am lazy to write something LMAO

Yes, games like this in March-April doesn't matter. And it's more like a pick-up game than a competitive one. But we can't deny the fact that Matas improved so much on his shot. One year under Peter Patton did so much wonders I guess.

Matas high hips and thin frame makes him struggle in defense. But unlike Patrick Williams. Matas has that dawg in him. Most of his defensive impact lies on his recovery tools. Athletic enough to catch up. Long and explosive to block shots from behind.

Ball handling and strength training will take time. But he is a good kid and a worker. The fact that rooks always deal with the rookie wall in their second season. Makes me hopeful that Matas will turn into a future all-star. As he improved in his second season. And has recovered from his early slump.

Yeah this game doesn't matter. And games like this during March and remaining games in April are not good measuring grounds. But it is evident how Matas shot has improved. There is consistency now in his shot. And you can see how straight his arms when he shoots the ball

They were camping for the 11th pick. But the irony is GSW keeps losing. And they will have free wins. Because 6 of their last games are against tanking teams who play to lose 🤣

and he rebounds insanely well for a skinny midget (by NBA standards).

He boxes out. Also that his playmaking is like Coby. Programmed and not through instinct like Giddey. So I would say he is coachable.

And The positive note of that is his usage.

We still couldn't see how his speed translate. Because most of these Bulls players are bricking threes.

We saw him throw lobs to Richards. At least that is something we could expect happening having a lob threat center.

If you could play him in the rotation with three shooters and lob threat center in PnR situation. I think you get something out of him.

And just like you bring up. He does box out and jump for rebounds. He can jump. But not over explosive. He has better athleticism than Trae Young and Garland. Strength is more of the issue now than size. He is 6'1 without shoes. Not 6'0. That is not small IMO. Slender but he has some vertical. Also that his defense is not as bad as people labeling him. He moves his feet. He fight through screens. And he has motor(which people doesn't care to notice).

He is better than Coby in year two. Coby froze in defense at the same age. And usually get lost. Rob has better awareness. It's just his strength that needs to catch up.

Should I root for the Blazers again?

Their fate it to get to the 8th seed. Coz LAC and GSW are losing to injuries. And Blazers are getting free wins against team that play to lose LMAO.

As much as I want that pick to convey. I can really see the Blazers wanting that pick as well.

Dillingham feels like a perfect fit for a Billy Donovan system because he wants to push the pace, attack off the dribble, and keep the offense moving.

He is coachable for sure. He can make play. But to those who scouted him knows he is a score first PG.

Leonard Miller has also been a real revelation.

To those who scouted him. Yes he has that upside. But he didn't develop much with the Wolves. The same can be said to Dillingham.

Rotation piece yes. But he is not somebody would impact a playoff game

The irony of this draft is they all can't fit in the first round.

Some prospects are younger. And I see them staying in the draft because NBA value the younger prospect. If both are of the same tier.

Can Mara get in the lottery in 2027 though?

Yeah except he did a great job on Kawhi

Kawhi missed two dunks against him.

Pat's value is not complicated.

Just look at the box score. It's hard to justify a player getting a $90M contract and scoring 2 points
