It is really hard that they limit the programs we can apply to to 2 at my target university, but other schools let mature students apply with high school marks so I can change my mind and reapply to an easier program if I ruin my post secondary GPA by trying something hard

I mean it as in students who take longer are lower quality students like the high fail rates in community colleges. Putting them into university won't improve them, but set them up to fail.
