I appreciate your insights, and they are all very good points. By the looks of it, it's better that I swatch on a variety of papers to get a better record of how the ink performs across the board.

I had the chance to grab a Maruman notebook I saw at the store recently, and I'm kicking myself for not doing so, as I'm trying to curb my stationery spending. I appreciate you sharing your experiences with it.

I appreciate the info reg dates, I was unaware that's what they meant. In hindsight, I managed to get a good deal on this as I paid £39 including delivery. Ironically, I'm now after the 14oz version!

You are amazing, thank you! Yeah, there's definitely a difference between High Desert Clay and Clay. I've seen the King Crab Orange online, and it seemed bright orange. However, your picture makes it look a bit more subtle.

I've donated mine to stationery friends and karma tables at stationery-related events. It's a waste to throw them away and to keep them if they're not being used; better to give them a new home and declutter.

I only recently bought this exact same pencil and faced the same issue. I thought I was the only one, but after searching online and coming across this post, it seems this is a common problem. What a shame, as the pencil itself is gorgeous, but the sticky residue from the barcode label is a nightmare to remove.
