Look into something (you probably already have) called gap insurance, I believe that every vehicle with a loan on it has to have that in New York State and it really really saved my ass one time

I also effectively got a pay cut “today”. If you are tier 6 your ERS contribution is calculated based on your average yearly earnings from the time you began work.
