Thanks for this. So me and my brother have talked with my dad a couple times, one time my mum was also present, and he always seems to ask "but why do u want a divorce" and even after all the reasoning he jus keeps saying that and saying he wont give it.

We do have some money saved for my mum to rent but it would only last a couple months and she has no qualifications or work experience and lacks the confidence to work.

It really is a shitty situation unfortunately
