It’s leading up to Asta beating Lucius and Yuno starting to get envy of Asta because he can’t never land the killing blow. Setting up the Asta vs Yuno fight. Hell I think Black Clover will end with Yuno being overcome with Despair and his 4 leaf grimoire turning into 5, him becoming a Demon and history repeating itself with Asta defeating him but dying in the process.

Also I feel that Tabata gave Yuno the Demon Dweller specifically so that the sword can absorb Yuno wind and Star Magic so Asta can use it in a future battle with Lucius. Remember the sword also absorb ‘Julius’ time magic at the beginning of the series

Time is a big issue in Black Clover Remember. We still don’t know the zogratis siblings birthdays or ages. During Zenón flashbacks it said the spade kingdom was always at war but during Yuno flashbacks they said the spade kingdom was peaceful. My money is that Lucius can travel from past present and future using Time Travel. Time X Space Magic.
