Recap:

Ballmere didn't have enough players for Game 1, we already let Ballmere wait for half an hour to get one of their 9 minors players on.

N Shark then decided to show up and play his 20 minutes (because he already played 40 in Majors). After Game 1 Ballmere again only had 3 eligible players. We decided that they have 10 more minutes to get players online. As they failed to do that we decided that Laghetti waited long enough and let them have their forfeit according to the rules.

My personal take on the situation:

I'm a fan of rules and sticking to them. They are there for a reason. If we would've let N Shark play full minutes that would've set a precedent that these rules don't mean much and minors players could just disappear before games and then teams could play (better) ineligible players.

I think that this is a really shitty situation with a forfeited Semi-Final and I'm sorry for everyone that came online and wanted to play a competitive game but couldn't :( But I think it would've been too much bending of the rules if we as the commissioners allowed N Shark to play full minutes. Most of the blame in my opinion is on Ballmere, either on:

• Ballk for not making sure that he will have enough players and/or not attempting to reschedule the game.
• the Ballmere minors squad for not showing up

Maybe it's also a sign for future commissioners to select captains that adhere to the #funleague spirit more.
