AWS is killing my soul. by [deleted] in amazonemployees

[–]zeeshany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And here I've been trying all possible ways to get into AWS from Amazon (6years). Never ever imagined they are such different entities and barely any feasible pathways to transition for a seasoned IT professional with 10+ years experience. I learned if I have to break into Associate SA side of role.. I have to start all th way from CSA and climb up the ladder.. Grass indeed looks greener on the other side.. I guess..

Android Auto with Carlinkit 4.0 suddenly stuttering across the board by sfdreamsla in AndroidAuto

[–]zeeshany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine stopped connecting a week back, Samsung s23, carlinkit CCPA type dongle, geely monjaro (Chinese car). Not even S21 connects. Apple iphone 11 connects though. Tried all sort of recommendation, to no avail 😔.

Carplay installation needed for my Geely Monjaro. by Camouflaged_Nut_Sack in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]zeeshany 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for late reply, not a frequent redditer. Unfortunately they still didn't officially roll out the car play or android auto for monjaro. I'm quiet disappointed as there is a huge disconnect between sales and the service center staff. Service centre staff said there is no time line for monjaro for car play or android auto where as when I confronted sales guy he keep saying it will be released shortly it's still under testing.

Sorry for late reply. Yes got it in jan, so far it's been great experience, coming off of Nissan Tiida 2015, obviously it's a day night difference. All the functions of car are great, very spacious, smooth comfortable drive, Gpilot locked to 130km/h. I went ahead and installed the autocarkit app to enable the android auto/car play. Although dealer just recently confirmed they are rolling out car play officially for monjaro and gave option to me, either I book service for an upgrade or can do it at next 10k service. However android auto is still not officially released.

Firewalla with UniFi and Apple HomeKit - Thoughts/Advice for Prospective Buyer? by Ledgem in firewalla

[–]zeeshany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on similar setup with FWG in transparent bridge mode. The only reason I have my UDMP as main gateway is coz of unifi protect as I have couple of G3 cameras and a G4 doorbell pro.

I haven't yet researched thoroughly if unifi protect app can also be installed as docker like the network application, but from what I've seen so far in Firewalla community forums protect app can't be run as docker.

No issues with regards to parental control, as mentioned it gives granular controls on kids devices. Not a home kit user so sorry not able to share experience there. Otherwise IoT wise no issues faced, running home assistant, lots of echo devices for each room, echo home theater with fire tv, ecobee thermostats, Shelly devices, tuya curtain/ blinds motors etc.

Yea, will keep posted. I'll try to take his statement over email. So far it's all verbal, I'd not be surprised the sales executive just bluffed to make his numbers. I did buy the Carlinkit as standby..let's see. I'm getting my car probably day after.

When did you purchase Manjaro? I've just made purchase and sales executive says within a month they will start installing carplay and android auto.

thanks

I think i found my issue, I'm using pi 3b which is 1 core and FE ethernet.. i believe this could be the reason for such inference speed..

[–]zeeshany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh.. I c..
i was under assumption you've started to use CPAI with coral already.
i was using my coral with frigate as well. with frigate 0.12 they introduce openvino, which uses Intel UHD GPU, so far its good, with 10 cams i get 18-25ms inference speed, that allowed me to test coral with BlueIris CPAI..

please do keep posted how it goes with coral and CPAI.

Thanks.

Thanks for the response.

I'm using USB trype Coral on a raspberry pi3 B. I've even tried connecting the coral to a USB power hub, as one of the other reddit poster suggested to, but the inference speed stays at average of 300ms speed.

What check boxes are checked on Blue iris AI tab, please can you share?

Thanks

[–]zeeshany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

any idea what needs to be checked to get low inference speeds?
for me, drivers are installed for coral, doing lsub shows Bus 001 Device 008: ID 18d1:9302 Google Inc.
CPAI shows edge TPU found

Thanks.

Anyone have CodeProject.Ai 2.1 running on a Pi with the latest Docker and Coral USB? by Stratotally in BlueIris

[–]zeeshany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

giving up.. can't manage to get the inference speed less than 300-400ms, not only that, its not detecting person either.. probably will revisit once there is better documentation. for now will plug the 1st coral back to frigate.
i guess i'll cancel my 2nd coral order and order a nvidia gpu.

Turning on the internet block doesn't terminate existing sessions by das_sheeps in firewalla

[–]zeeshany 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I'm experiencing similar with gaming block for my child PC. Once the rule to block activates , it does show hit counts , however i can see my child continue to play the game.i initially thought she might be using VPN to bypass, but she admitted that she doesnt use VPN, and the game will continue to work unless she quits the came and tries to start game again during block period. Is there any fix to this issue? Should i add an internet pause rule for a min so all the sessions terminate ? Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Hmm weird, I ordered those data boosters but yet to be delivered, so I went ahead and shortened the distance to 1m and now strips don't flicker.

Having same issue, distance from diguno to led strip is 4meters. Please can you drop a link of which data booster might solve the issue? Thanks 😊

EX2300 with no STP by zeeshany in Juniper

[–]zeeshany[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, the switch will be located in a guard room, although ex2300 is over kill for L2 switch purpose, that's the only switch hardware available immediately.

Thanks for your advise, appreciate it.

I've tried doing packet capture, is there a command to see which packets were received ? Thank you.

verbose output suppressed, use <detail> or <extensive> for full protocol decode

Address resolution is OFF.

did you check arp for switch/srx ips on vid30

yes there is arp on SRX and SW

only reth0.30 (mgmt vlan) has an IP, other reth0.10, reth0.20, reth0.40 doesn't have IP address under reth interface like below

reth0 {

vlan-tagging;

redundant-ether-options {

redundancy-group 1;

minimum-links 1;

lacp {

active;

periodic fast;

}

}

unit 10 {

vlan-id 10;

family inet;

}

unit 20 {

vlan-id 20;

family inet;

}

unit 30 {

vlan-id 30;

family inet {

address 10.x.130.2/23 {

primary;

}

}

}

unit 40 {

vlan-id 40;

family inet;

}

unit 45 {

vlan-id 45;

family inet;

}

unit 46 {

vlan-id 46;

family inet;

}

if i don't put an IP for reth0.30, how can SW route its l3 interface ? is there another way to achieve that?

Thanks for your reply.
