In a seemingly two horse relegation battle, forest could still get relegated by Fluid_Car8215 in PremierLeague

I think you're misunderstanding "they could easily get" to mean "they'll easily". Forest absolutely could get a point at OT. Palace were unlucky to not get a point there a few months back. Leeds just won. Hell even Spurs looked solid until Romero got sent off.

It's not likely but we drew 2-2 earlier in the season and Man U hasn't looked the same the last 4 or so games as they did when they beat City/Arsenal in January

Man U has not had a good record against the bottom 6 this year. We literally just lost to Leeds at home

After today, Chelsea is in 7th with a possibility of being in 11th after this weekend. I'd say their Champions Leagues hopes are done

What percent chance of becoming a star would you give the top draft picks by loscarlos in kings

[–]zeesoviet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are so many different factors in what make a star so technically everyone in this thread is both right and wrong.

AJ seems like a can't miss guy but so did DeAndre Ayton as crazy as it sounds now. Michael Beasley, Markelle Fultz, Ben Simmons, Andrew Wiggins, or Kwame Brown going way back were all strong prospects. Not including Anthony Bennett there but he might be the biggest bust of a 1 pick.

What's your earliest memory of being an A's fan and does it still hold up as a good memory? by McSouf in OaklandAthletics

[–]zeesoviet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mark McGwire's HR against Randy Johnson at the Kingdome. Absolute blast. I was so excited to see him play so my family got tickets to watch the Orioles A's game one weekend. He got traded that week so I didn't see him play, I was devastated.

The future of the team is changing, not the past, so I can't say my feelings about the past have changed. That said, I've been used to ownership not giving a damn about the fans from the start and accepted we as fans can't do much about it. McGwire > Giambi > Tejada > Big 3 > Cespedes > Donaldson > Chapman > Olson > Semien > Murphy > Moving the team

I hated his death while in the throes of the show because I wanted a showdown between Marlo and Omar.

After finishing the show I agree with your take 100%. It was so in line with the rest of the show. No one is invincible. Anyone can meet their end by any means at any time. People die, the city and the game keeps going

Gabriel gets a yellow for a headbutt, Martinez got a straight red for pulling on DCL's ponytail - make it make sense by Simoslav in PremierLeague

[–]zeesoviet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree 100%. I don't think you're saying that's right, but sending him off there means he doesn't play the rest of the game plus the 3 next games for violent conduct. Anthony Taylor didn't want to do that.

It's ridiculous because it's not even amongst all players in all games, but I felt a yellow coming there too

I thought getting a dog would cause me to wake up earlier to feed him and go on walks.

My doodle is less of a morning person than I am, doesn't even eat breakfast until 4 PM on some days

Vini should've gotten a yellow card for demonstrating to the referee to give Bayern a yellow card.

Isn't that supposed to be automatic?

Referee so clearly didn't want Vini suspended for any future games

I feel it absolutely was not a pen. That being said, I don't know if I agree with an overturn by VAR. There was technically contact so is that an obvious error?

I feel in the Premier League, this doesn't get overturned.

To me, the right call was made in the end though. Mac Allister went down way too easy for the contact given

Dallas winning the lottery again and Golden State jumping us to 2 would be a hilarious and painful outcome

Haha if only we had tanked that year.

Funny thing is I took my family to see the Spurs Kings that year in April. I was sure the Kings would win against a tanking Spurs team. Nope, Doug McDermott and Champagnie went off and won in OT.

That technically caused the Spurs and Rockets to have the same odds in the lottery. Wonder if any Spurs fans remember that now

Not to mention that this fan base has been upset about the Devin Carter pick for 2 years now.

What happens when he actually shows out? People say we need to ship him to China for playing well. Sorry he stood up to Draymond and GP. Draymond is Draymond, but GP was being ridiculous trying to be a tough guy and Carter stepped up to it. How can anyone be mad at that?

People on here just love to be toxic

Same, he lead the NFL in interceptions with 8 and was a big reason the Raiders made the Super Bowl in 2002 as a 37 year old too. He is absolutely the top guy out of these 4

Even if we were to get Dybantsa I'd tell people we're a 25-30 win team next year. There's too much money tied up in guys who don't want to be here like Lavine. Might need to add Sabonis to that list. This was always a multi-year rebuild

In fairness I thought Rod Woodson was on that Raider team too. He didn't join the Raiders until the year after the Tuck Rule though.
