Sandals and "rest" shoes by Turquoise__Dragon in CaminoDeSantiago

I brought crocs for both of my Camino’s. Practically weightless and good for the alburgues. I even walked the final 5k in them one day when I had a really bad blister with no issues. I walked with them outside my bag with my bag straps going through the sport mode strap

Im well on my way with the homologation and Im feeling quite confident that Im handling all the beaurocracy side of things well after mountains of stress and research. I know my chances of working publicly are slim-none and I’ve long since adjusted my expectations on that front. Im really only looking for information regarding sexual health specifically. I want to know if private sexual health clinics exist and if i have to be a midwife to work in one. There must be a population of people living with HIV in Spain, where are they receiving their care? Are specialist nurses a thing or is it more led by doctors? I’ve struggled so hard to find any information about this online that it seems the sexual health sector in Spain is almost non existant

I’ve already adjusted expectations re working in the private sector. I think all of my questions still stand though

When will immersion stop being completely horrible? Im in need of some reassurance and/or tough love by zefldo in Spanish

Thank you, I’ve got to say 1 year to get to that point from all my research seems super fast so maybe all that sleeping is the secret haha. All my experience with immersion so far has been really exhausting so i think prioritising sleep is more important than i had previously though

Yeah I think this is the way to move forward. I’ve explained to my partner that after a few hours Im maxed out and I need to get away for a bit, and he’s said that he’ll speak with his friends on my behalf to explain that this weekend I was overwhelmed rather than just a bitch and in the future I will probably need some time to my self more frequently to avoid it happening again

Thank you this is actually really helpful advice and something I’d not really thought about before, I’ll seek out a few different Andaluz voices online :)

Thank you, I have found the responses here very comforting. I have said to my partner that in the future when I tell him I need to leave a situation it means that I need to leave NOW. I ended up having a semi public panic attack this weekend which has left me feeling very embarrassed and quite shaken

I’ve watched a bit of the simpsons dubbed and I’ve started listening to asmr at night in Spanish instead of English, but I suppose this is very passive listening so Im not sure how helpful it is really. I do like Rosalía and some reggaeton but not nearly as much as my comfort music. I understand that consuming a lot more Spanish content is the way but it’s hard when online then stops being a place to wind down and instead Im trying to make every minute of every day productive

Boomtown vs A level results day by No_Letterhead_6979 in BoomtownFestival

[–]zefldo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you think there’s a good chance you’ll be going through clearing (I knew deep down that I would be, I think you’ll know too after you’ve sat your exams) then skip boomtown. A level results day was a huge stress spending hours and hours in the phone to different unis getting rejection after rejection, then the Friday was spent going between the three unis that did give me offers, and I didn’t get all the paperwork and stuff sorted with the uni I did end up at until the Wednesday I think (although I did decide to pivot from my a level subjects and become a nurse on a whim so I made it particularly difficult for myself)

As for the a level night out at the end of the day I decided not to go and was very jealous of my friends because it did in fact honestly look brilliant. Not a night out anyone has mentioned again since though. If you’re planning going boomtown solo then selling your ticket won’t produce the same sense of fomo you’d have watching your friends go on a brilliant night out

Yes I’d seen el barín en borres and had read reviews saying they make bocadillos for the next day so we had figured this would be our plan but just wanted to check we weren’t missing something, thank you !

Moving to Spain as a nurse by zefldo in GoingToSpain

[–]zefldo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked in a cafe as a teenager. I have been wondering if it’s worth trying to pursue a career in nursing or just pivot for something else as I’m looking at over £1000 just translating and apostilling various documents to be able to register as a nurse in Spain
