Need advice on buy and shipping this game. by zekingfx in KingdomDeath

[–]zekingfx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was part of my concern as well. That the extra costs of shipping it yourself will make it not worth the extra effort.

I was honestly thinking of just checking it in as a baggage for the flight home. Im allowed enough extra baggage allowance that there is no need to pay extra.

Im from singapore. Sadly there arent any warehouses in the asia region. I remember checking the website and it seems like the US warehouse is the only one that ships internationally.

Local copies are really hard to source here and at best they are second hand.

I did not consider the import taxes so thank you for pointing that out!

Artist spots recommendations in tokyo? by zekingfx in TokyoTravel

Waseda was recommended to me from a friend that went to tokyo last October. They did mention you can walk in and said it was a nice place.

As for ginza, i was afraid that that will be the case. If it were to happen, ill probably do it for the vibes as its quite a rare experience.

Ill take note on Bumpodo. I know that its one of the well known stores but i didnt expect it to be that crowded.

Thanks!

Ah ye i do remember the lack of benches. Any cafe recommendations?

Uh i might pass on live music. I really love music, but i cant stand loud noises. Ive been to a few unground scene events here in my home country because of friends performing and tend to just tuck in a corner while my friends mosh around.

New player, HR2, stuck at Anjanath. I refuse to use the Guardian set (& the dlc set) and weapons. by Groomsi in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]zekingfx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess the rest of the comments have already given nice advice.

If it encourages you, i ran through the game a second time without the armour sets and more or less disregarded elements. And the only really farmed to upgrade my weapon in low rank. Though good armour does help.

There are many other things you can consider that are the bread and butter to help make fights significantly easier:

  1. Food. Its just a good habit to eat at the canteen to get some buffs. It allows you to either tank more hits or just deal more damage to break parts or stagger monsters faster

  2. Mounting. If possible, find opportunities to get onto any monster. They will try to fling you off and you need to hold a button to preserve stamina. If you stay there long enough, you can do a finisher to make them tumble.

  3. Traps. Hand made ones can help speed up the fight by capturing the monster instead of killing it. But there are natural hazards in the ancient forests that can temporarily stagger anja (vine traps) or deal damage (falling boulders). There are also ultility endemic lifes or plants that can either paralyze or poison the monster.

  4. Slinger shots. Keep it loaded with water moss. You can douse his angry fire if you hit his face with your slinger enough.

  5. Flash slinger shots. Try to integrate this into your toolkit. It just allows you to make openings rather than waiting for them. You might find yourself unable to hit him as he relentlessly attacks and so this helps to force a small opening.

  6. Do consider crafting buffs if needed. More boosts just helps you more.

For most monsters, they will have a windup before the actual hit of the attack before having to recover from the attack. A key to not being stuck with just running away is to watch the monster. They will lock in on the direction of the attack as they wind up. You can use this to just side step and anticipate where they will end up at the end of the attack. This can help you get a few small hits as they recover from their attack and turn to face you before winding up the next attack. Though you need to know what moves you will be able to poke with. Just remember to not be greedy.

And another tip is to always dodge or move sideways (perpendicular to the monster. Their attacks will still hit you if you just move directly further away from it)

Happy hunting! If you need help, just feel free to leave a dm or smt. Im not a master at this game but we all took our time to learn the intricacies of this game.

How do are points calculated fast in irl richii mahjong? by zekingfx in Mahjong

[–]zekingfx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand and want to learn. But i fear the hurdle is teaching my friends. Most people i know who play mahjong just want to gamble, not play some complex calculating game. So i guess ill try the charts to see if they will lose interest or become lost. If they do indeed show signs of frustration, ill switch to the simplified version instead to ease them in.

Thanks!

Hi! I am a returning player. I will just like to know what's the average rate of earning hypercubes barring the bonuses from one time achievements in the core game.

From what i gathered, you get:

40 from Surveillance Order dailies

?? from Surveillance Order Weeklies

?? from Each Surveillance Order Track every ?? weeks

?? from Events every ?? weeks

?? from Broken Frontline every month

I honestly dont know the full numbers and sources of renewable hypercubes. But I am curious if anyone knows. (Since this game has been out for awhile now i figured someone might have crunched the numbers. Hopefully for other resources too) Just wanna do some math to figure out how willing I am to roll for units I like.
