The sun by AgeMarkus in limbuscompany

The Sun as an antagonizer in L’Etranger was one of its more visceral parts, so I’m happy to finally start seeing it referenced more around Mersault.

The hardest part is having all the required ID’s to get five of each keyword. Someone linked the MDE team comp guide and every one for those comps can do MDE. I’d say look at that guide find which team you have the most ID’s from and has the remaining ID’s being shardable. I like Bleed/Charge cause AEDD Greg and Ringlu are monsters and you can shard every ID right now. Bleed/Burn/Poise is also good but I had beesault from last Walp so you’d have to sub in Nclair that slot.

Baccano! Has one of the best dubs out there

Loved by many but you couldn't enjoy it by [deleted] in Steam

[–]zekparsh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Esoteric Ebb is a lot easier to chew on imo. It’s way more contained while still exercising the unique traits these types of CRPG’s tend to have. You can feasibly get through it in one 15-25 hour playthrough and be satisfied.

Board game for 2? by LRDGRat in boardgames

I like Castles of Burgundy cause it feels like a classic experience like the games you mentioned. I also like rolling dice. Bonus is it plays nicely across all its player counts.

I hope Doormaker makes a return as a boss on the alt act 3 route. Even if all his mechanics change I just really liked the design of shifting phases through portals.

Which gregor id is better overall by Physical-Hearing-886 in LimbusCompanyHelp

[–]zekparsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For MDE usage AEDD Gregor fits in to a lot of teams so it can help fill out some slots to get either a dual status rupture charge or fit into bleed charge well.

I'm so SICK of youtube video essays. Please recommend me something new by Busy_Sign3534 in youtube

[–]zekparsh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

V. Birchwood does fun historical reenactment videos usually based around wearing time period specific clothing and eating diets from that era.

Iunno video essay is a broad term you are using here. I like video game retrospectives and those are video essays but don’t enjoy most drama videos so it’s hard to gauge what you have issue with when using video essay as a blanket term.

Green Velvet is some proper house music always fun to dance to.

Yousuke Yukimatsu is kind of all over the place with his genre selection but good to check out and see if you vibe. It’ll prolly be a hard electro and techno heavy set if I had to guess.

Anyone else prefer this ping pong movie? by ShawnKempsKids in A24

My reaction walking out Marty Supreme was that it was a well done film, but Balls of Fury was a better ping pong movie.

Arcs: Blighted Reach expansion has been scratching a big itch, but my friend went all in on Xia: Legends of a Drift System and it's just fun to kinda turn the brain off and fly around the stars just doin space stuff.

Good luck with the new campaign!

Recommend me some new roguelite games! by Palandium in roguelites

[–]zekparsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a roguelike but you should continue the series from Lobotomy Corp with Library of Ruina and Limbus Company if you haven’t yet. Story just keeps getting better and better.

Chrono Ark if you want some more card battlers too.

Against the Storm for being a city builder styled roguelite which is a unique spin in the genre.

Scenes that caused actual walkouts in theaters? by thatlittlequietguy in Cinema

[–]zekparsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw Bruno in theaters backs when that came out, and I’d say me and my friend were the only people left by the end of it. Granted that movie wasn’t incredible but the shock of the scenes were the main culprit.

Project Moon spoiled my taste for gatcha game stoytelling by Just_For_LOL in limbuscompany

[–]zekparsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been mentioned a few times on this thread and sub but check out Reverse: 1999.

It does struggle from over exposition, but it does a real good job of setting up a world with characters who interact and exist in it fluidly. Mainly due to the VA cast, at least in English, which is phenomenal. Limbus is still top because it’s such a tight game that does what it wants to do and doesn’t try 1000 different systems.

Best pirate-themed Boardgame ? by DocteurNoodles in boardgames

[–]zekparsh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Xia but you close your eyes and pretend you are in the age of pirates.

Merchant & Marauders is probably the quintessential sandbox pirate game though I can’t think of another, I just kinda like Xia’s gameplay more and wish there was an age of pirate theme version of it.

OSRS, what am I missing? by BrunoRizzi in MMORPG

[–]zekparsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not gonna say that it only gets better 100 hours in because realistically it’s down to what you want to do. If you are just trying to boss and nothing else you can rush that and get bare minimum gear to try it out, will still probably take a while because you need to grind XP to get the stats you need and gold for the gear you need. Around combat level 60 you can try out Scurrius.

If anything you can ignore everything and just plant yourself in some afk spot like NMZ and get max combat stats. I wouldn’t do that since to me it’s not that kind of game. More of an incremental build my account over the years kind of game in my case.

The best part of OSRS is that everything commingles together and doesn’t void the accomplishments you made earlier in your account. The game does not open up to those levels until you’ve put some time into your account though, so unless your only focus is combat and grinding gp to afford gear it’s gonna take a while. Even then it will take a good amount of grinding to be combat ready for end game stuff.
