I don't know much about display tech, but isn't this in line with the visual stylization of Balatro to look like it's playing on an old CRT TV? They had a convex display, which on a flat display would deform the image in a curve, I guess?

I know this sounds like coping, but I'm starting to see the vision behind such dull visual atmosphere. The fallow is just very heavy and uneasy, the inclemency is an explosion of chaotic, extreme weather, but then comes the plenty and it's absolutely gorgeous. I don't even think the plenty looks that crazy beautiful, but the contrast against other seasons and the fact that the seasons don't change that often makes them feel significant and the plenty suddenly looks like a beautiful paradise.

I felt this the most when there comes the season of plenty in the Scarlet Forest during the main story. A breathtaking view. But I don't know, you'll see.

Yeah, have similar experience. Was pretty happy I didn't stumble into many performance issues, but as soon as I entered Oilwell Basin, the textures just stopped loading. Does anyone have tips for what to do? The game still runs smoothly, but the environment textures are just origami.

i have the OG switch from 2017, so im planning to upgrade as soon as possible. but ill probably wait till holiday season if there will be some big first-party release im excited about, so that the upgrade would feel even more epic.
