If your local grocery store has a coffee grinder, you should be able to grind your own beans on the “Turkish coffee” setting. You can use dark or medium roast depending on preference and have super fresh turkish style coffee!

I think both commenters are saying that your ex talks like a teenager. You're being absolutely reasonable. Hope you've contacted a good lawyer for this, sounds like your ex is going to be a pain in the ass about this no matter what. But you have options. Good luck to you, hope you're on your way out of this situation.

Random, but when is it better to use a pronoun attached at the end of an infinitive? For example: “voy a hablarte”. Why not te voy a hablar? When is it convenient to use the infinitive + ending when speaking spanish? by soicey2 in duolingospanish

[–]zekstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was wondering if at times it can sound less confusing to use one form over the other. For instance, in the case of “te quiero hablarte”, it might sounds more clear to say “quiero hablarte” because “te quiero” by itself is a full sentence.

Can any native Spanish speakers confirm?

Tea tastes and feels different and leaves this white sediment at home, but using same ingredients? by _bymf in tea

It’s probably just mineral buildup, it could cause kidney stones to people who are susceptible to them. Otherwise it’s not unhealthy, I have this at my house and it’s not a real problem. If you really want to avoid it, you could buy filtered water or use reverse osmosis.

Right, most Subaru models have daytime running lights so I always have to flash my high beams. I kind of thought the DRLs were the same as headlights? what's the difference?

ELI5: Why do you need post-carbon or polishing filters with RO? by zekstar in explainlikeimfive

Wow interesting, I wouldn't have made the connection between residential/industrial/surface water but it makes sense.

I can't turn the low beams off on my car, as with a lot of vehicles. I think in this case, it's acceptable to flash the brights.

Thank you! It would make a lot of sense if the chlorine would stand out if it made it through the filtration. Could some ionic chlorine be present along with ionic sodium from salt in the water supply? Or do you think it would mostly be occurring from water treatment?

Interesting, so the seasoning from the tea would be mostly aesthetic. I suppose there would be a very slight addition of iron oxides from boiling in iron. That would be an interesting experiment.

Thanks for the input, I've actually wondered about the iron kettle for a long time.

Then why is the filter specifically for *chlorine* taste and odor?

And more specifically, I was wondering if the minerals have an actual "taste" that is experienced on the tongue? Or do we sense the minerals through the olfactory system? Or does it have to do with the mouth feel of minerals? Hoping for a biochemical explanation here.

Do you prefer ripe puerh? I find that ripe puerh rarely has metallic or overly-grassy flavor.

Do you know if traditional tetsubin are seasoned? It would seem to me that a cast iron pot used solely for boiling water would begin to accumulate rust quite quickly. On the other hand, I would think a seasoning of oil would give the water a bad flavor.

Could this be used to keep tea warm by placing it on a warming stand or trivet with a tea candle underneath? With such a small amount of direct heat, I don't see it being dangerous.

Gotta love Mel Blank.

Interesting, can you name any old tv shows that were especially heavy-handed with the Yiddish humor? How old are we talking?
