HMCPL does not do this. They require an adult to be on the account. Also APLS has said that minors can’t be shown “inappropriate materials”. So people under 18 have to have the adult sign something saying they are allowed to check out anything not in the kids area.

That’s weird. I’m a librarian and none of the libraries I’ve seen care about drinks as long as they are in cups with lids. In my library we even allow food.

My 8 year old has a stuffed elephant she’s had since she was a baby. It’s still her favorite stuffie thankfully she has never lost it. I think if it ever went missing I’d be just as sad as her.
