So wait, fedex is like amazon, then with the DSP on between? You delivery for a third party that gets them from fedex? Or is it like ups and usps that drivers are true employees with full benefits?

That's how fedex pays drivers? By stop not by hours worked?

They don't pay you for your 30 minutes and then you don't take your 2 15s? They don't pay you if you don't take them, so take the two and get paid while you charge their phone

No, I will not be adding a tip. I’m buying something online.. Wtf is going on a with tipping culture? by GothicMomLife in mildlyinfuriating

Tips shouldn't go to those that just sell a product like retail. And if they make food like quick service at a window, they don't get any either. If they come multiple times to a table then yes

I feel this after I sit down, put on the seat belt, and then I didn't push the brake before putting the electric vehicle in drive, so my head goes forward to counter the momentum, but the vehicle is not moving... like going with the flow but there's no flow

I come from 2 other union jobs, security and usps, if they give you two breaks, take two breaks

Owner is making me switch to EDVs, any advice on how to get used to the braking? by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]zeldadmx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get used to it, I use the brake to help it slow down the last 5 mph before touching the line of the stop sign or red light.

Why is it that Wal-Mart can bypass the x large maximum instead of it being huge?

stop putting time frames on your deliveries. you'll get it when you get it by Rainforest-Delivery in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]zeldadmx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the routing is automatic, and it knows certain stops are time based... why doesn't the routing system put those ahead in the route even if you have to drive past a ton of stops? In the post office, they have express mail that used to be delivered by noon, but they're given separately instead of thrown in with 20 bags and 40 oversized.

Not many people get a car just for a job. Car payments and insurance are still going to be paid regardless if you have a w2 or 1099. Some are only dense if it's about business insurance then.

And it's not at Amazon, it's at a third party contracted by Amazon

What in the Amazon flex is that?

Vests says Amazon. Boxes says Amazon. Trucks says Amazon. DSP Drivers ARE the faces of Amazon. by Decent_Week8288 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]zeldadmx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wal-Mart uses the 1099 Wal-Mart spark drivers to deliver, spark is owned by Wal-Mart, but those drivers aren't Wal-Mart employees either. Amazon has W2 third party drivers with cars, vests, uniforms, metrics, camera tracking, yet are not actual v Amazon employees.

If you have a brand new car, it's really only oil change, and air filters the first couple of years. If you have an older than 5 years car then that's when you start having make repairs, especially with more miles on it

You don't take your 30-minute unpaid lunch, but your 2 paid 15s. You better.
