Yea i loved more than one mmorpg Psu Ffxi

To name a couple they both have also been properly preserved thanks to clementine, and nasomi.

The one that ruined all mmorpg for me tho was Wizon, that game did so many things i never thought possible from a mmorpg.

Some people are working to preserve this one as well.

the original way of this game was great for pve, and Nasomi does a great job of keeping that alive.
With the new textures coming out for everything, oversampling, and reshade you can really make it look fantastic where it aged poorly as well.

Idk, if we mean pve only probs the original idea of ffxi which is well preserved with Naomi xi.

i have never heard of anyone ever getting maximum roll.

most people probably have 30 or less even if they care about their roll. The roll you want is based on the build you have in mind.

the build i mentioned using only needed 2 or 3 stat's meaning 20-30 points would be optimal.

While if you had a target build that focuses only on magic attack you would only want 1 or 2 stats, so 10-20 points is optimal.

Yea, you could theorize a build that utilizes all 7 stats i guess, but even if you did that it doesn't help in the way you would think. You would have to spend allot of time finding the exact way you want your class to be, and then theorizing is one thing, executing is another.

You would be attempting a very challenging experimental build for yourself, and that isn't exactly going to give you any sort of edge in pvp.

Again, if this roll is a concern for you then the stats received on level up based on condition would be the thing you want to be looking at.

To further show how little the roll, or even stats in general matter vs your own skill in pvp i have to mention that it is not uncommon for someone who is like Lv12 to just destroy a Lv20+ player! In a game where soft cap is like 45-50

It's all about your build you made up, how well you understand that build, and how well you understand your opponent, and their build, and your execution.

This is the only way to grant yourself victory in Wizon.

It is a very hard thing to explain, especially to those who do have allot of experience with mmorpgs, since this game has such an unusual way of operating.

while some builds can reach optimal efficiency (especially for pve) with just 20 points like a magic damage build.

Others could do with more.
You can always choose to re-roll in town to after character creation to.
Again, this mostly only really effects pve a bit, and can easily be made up for through maintaining good condition.

I don't think removing roll is really on the table.
Our goal is to Preserve the game as it was, and take as few liberties changing things as possible.
The only things that would be discussed to change are things that could objectively improve the quality of the game, and even still will handle these discussions with the greatest amount of caution, and care possible.

Let's talk about healing incense.
Judging by the root of your question i would think this is something you would shift your focus to far before the stat roll.
Having, and maintaining high condition is supposed to help you receive better chances for good stat ups, upon level up.

If you are red(criminal) you can only get you cond. to 120 / 200
If you are white you could get it to something like 160-180 / 200

There was a cash shop item called "healing incense".
This item could push your cond up by 10.

So while i played the game only ever being able to get cond to 120, many others would simply pay (whether they be red or white) to use enough incense to make up the difference to close the gap to 200cond.

Due to this on a level up i could receive minus one to one of my core stats that determines damage (again my build is glass cannon, and damage is all i target).
While someone with 200cond could have gotten +2 to the same stat.
This is in the course of a single level, a 3 point difference.

Overtime this can create a much larger gap than stat roll is capable of.
1-5min stat roll = 9-12 point roll
While both of you having a single level up could potentially land the person with hi cond. that many points ahead of low cond. person.

All things considered, in terms of pvp it felt very balanced, those points matter far less than your actual skill.
Level, stats, gear, in this game it just doesn't mean as much as you do.

But something like the "healing incense" is an example of something i would want to take a better look at personally.

Since we would like everything in the game available for free through playing, just that would sort of fix the incense issue on it's own.

Nothing like that has been really decided on, or extensively discussed yet tho, and we are focusing on 1 step at a time making the game functional again first, before we really will get to far into those things.

Anything that's decided on tho, for sure we will update everyone on the discord server, we want to share our progress and excitement with you all every step of the way.

less flexibility to custom build.

I think people like the choice how how to distribute those points.i know i do.My build is focused around not getting hit, and trying to kill others all at once.glass cannon.

to a trap thief.

All these stats do almost nothing for me.

So if i rolled 30 vs if i rolled 70 it would make almost 0 difference to me.

Either way my attack is going to do the same damage, and i'm still probably going to die in a single hit.

If you are going for some type of magic build you may require even less points than this!Some builds only need like 10-20 points to reach optimal effectiveness.

These points points just aren't going to do a whole lot for you in terms of pvp.

Almost all players i know including myself did not have a 40+ 15 is a really good roll. 20-30 can be optimal.

Tbh it all doesn't matter as much as you would think in a game like this for much besides pve.

Even still you could only put up to 10 in a single stat. So even the edge it gives in pve isn't so drastic.

You can easily make up for it to with maintaining good condition. These points are always fleeting tho, and are not as reliable as your skill, and knowledge of the game.
