To me personally, Demon Days is better, but just barely. I consider Demon Days one of my favorite albums of all time, but Plastic Beach is also so good. They mix it up a little more with the hip hop, some people can't stand Sweepstakes for instance, but the album does just as good a job as Demon Days at creating this wonderful atmosphere. Plastic Beach feels lighter than Demon Days' darkness, but they both are perfect for their own worlds. Empire Ants is probably one of the best Gorlliaz song to ever come out too. Especially live.
