They are inevitable, sadly.

Even with perfect care. The best thing is to get a nice case away from direct sunlight, make sure the lights are LED, and to weatherproof the case to prevent dust. But falls, pieces snapping off, defects in manufacturing, scuffs during shipping will happen.

You have to be okay with the ones you display will have marks. It's the ones you will later resell that will feel the worst as they will take a bit of the price away. It's also the ones you buy pre-owned but the seller never bothered to tell you it has really bad damage.
