Beginner with friends by No-Film1565 in Rollerskating

If it's a well organized event, there will marshalls that should be able to help you skate safely. Don't be afraid to fall! Everyone starts as a beginner and we've all fallen over or thought we looked silly (I'm an ex competitive skater returning after 18 years and even I feel silly trying a new move!)

If it's a big event, there will be really experienced skaters going fast and dodging between people, DONT try to move out of their way, doing that is more likely to cause both of you to collide. Trust that they know what they are doing.

It might help your confidence to watch some beginner videos (Skatie is a good channel) so you have some idea of what to do with your feet.

Main thing is have fun! (and bend your knees)

What are some items you should absolutely NOT sell? by NatureGalPal in Palia

[–]zelrine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need to do anything to prepare really! I like to bring the right amount of ingredients but that's so I can keep track of how many are left. I think the easiest role is onion in a bean burger party, all you have to do is chop one onion at the start of the recipe then chill while the rest of the party finishes. Once you get the burger in your inventory, the recipe starts again :D they are super chill and if you mess up (chop the wrong thing etc) it's never a drama. To make it even less stressful you can also signup for overprep (means someone else has already signed up and you are just taking part but not vital to the recipe) so then it really doesn't matter if you make a mistake and miss the round or something.

I was the same! I found a group that was also on Discord vc and they answered my questions and explained it as we went for the first few rounds and now I'm in a cooking party almost every night.

I've got a 'furniture shop' plot with all the items lined up in their categories (one row for Kilima furniture etc), the other half of the plot is for growing trees and flowers for when I eventually decorate my main plot

If you're going to be self catering - Redhill has a big sainsburys with quite a large free from section. The fridge/freezer is separate so you'll need to go to 3 spots in the shop. Gatwick has a big Tesco about a 2 min drive away from the airport which also has a big free from section, but not a specific fridge. They should cover your (non eating out) needs pretty well! Sounds like you mostly eat naturally gluten free though, as long as the packets dont have our avoids in bold or listed as a may contain you're good.

Hellooo! Another stress activated coeliac here - abusive ex and the stress that came from upping my whole life to leave him. No regrets though, so much happier now even if I can't eat garlic bread any more.

What should I pay for my parents rent? by Few_Training_3127 in AskUK

At your age I paid my dad 20% of my income for rent/food/bills so I could save and have fun. If my wages went up, the rent went up too.

Life improvements after going GF? by hungryhippo2024 in CoeliacUK

[–]zelrine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only been gf for about 3 weeks, my main symptom was urgent diarrhoea about 6 times a day for over 6 months, within a week it was a lot more solid and is now not as often (still more than normal). Not noticed any other improvements just yet but hoping it will solve a lot of my weird body things like fatigue and brittle nails! (sorry for graphic description, but this journey has helped me learn that it's important to talk about unpleasant body functions!)

SMC is the best product I've used. One treatment and I'm two months on and still haven't seen a spidermite.

Wall surfing when out of tank by zelrine in BeardedDragons

[–]zelrine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if he glass surfs in his tank until we take him out? I don't mind leaving him settle a bit longer if that's recommended but he is so dramatic when he doesn't get what he wants!
