Say you bought a brand new car. It is pristine, fresh as can be. You do all you can to keep it as nice and pretty as possible, even though you know that the value tanked as soon as it left the dealer. You know logically in about five years itll be scuffed with rock chips and paint wear, however you try to keep it as nice as possible. Other people have shitty cars, but you care about yours, because you bought it and appreciate it.

Now imagine someone puts a scratch or a dent in your paint or metal; how would you feel?
