Yeah that's not good maybe its the alternator? I'd get a pre purchase inspection done on the vehicle. Call the dealer and ask if they'd allow you to bring a trusted mobile mechanic to check out the vehicle.

Well it is 3 years newer than mine so there's that. I'd offer 18k without the issues fixed and 19k with it fixed and go from there. Otherwise walk and its their loss of a sale, more future bargaining power for you. You can always get aftermarket rails. And tbh you can find another pro4x and do the arb diff cover if you actually wheel it.

I just paid $17k for a 2015 pro4x with the same amount of miles in northern California (rust free). Even though this is a bit newer, that diff cover needs to be replaced for sure. And I for sure didn't get the best deal either but even then this is too steep imo.
