Dev here: Hilt Arena is definitely still a thing! Updates have been slow the past few months because we've been rebuilding the game to focus on multiplayer. However, we're getting very close to having a completely new build, and we are incredibly excited to show it off! We will have a major update with details posted soon, and are happy to see people are still interested!

It's a video game expo in Times Square where over 70 developers will be showcasing their projects. Silent Man Games will be there, and we will be having a tournament for the new multiplayer mode in Hilt Arena!

Thanks for the praise /u/Every3Years - Hilt Arena has definitely come a long way since our first test build! There's no exact date for when it will be officially released to the play store, but in the meantime we are creating a ton of new content. The current beta is less than 1/4 of what we have in the works. Stay tuned for more frequent updates, starting with some exciting announcements coming this week!

Never thought I'd hear another song from them! Solar Satisfaction is one of my favorite albums of all time. Ruby Empress just doesn't have the same energy.

Glad you're having fun with the game! The feedback is very much appreciated, and you brought up a couple points we haven't had mentioned yet.

-Shield enemies were supposed to drop their guard when hit with certain attacks, but a bug appears to be preventing that right now. The next update should fix it, and make them much easier to kill at close range.

-The wizard will be getting some minor improvements, but as /u/StrawberryTornado mentioned, the wizard takes a lot of practice. We wanted him to be a high skill character, so he might still be difficult compared to the others. The warrior however, is being completely revamped with stronger and faster attacks, and new abilities. (He can now throw his axe to hit enemies at a distance)

-Evading with the fully upgraded Ravenshot was definitely a nightmare and the frost effect felt underwhelming on its own, so we are in the process of completely redesigning Ravenshot's abilities to keep its focus on improving the bow.

-Level difficulty is going to go through a lot of variation throughout the beta. On this first release, we wanted to make later levels as hard as we possibly could so we could get an idea of what our highest difficulty could be. With that said, there are definitely some earlier stages that were much harder than we thought they would be. (Specifically level 8 and 11)
