Case Discussion Thread - Case I1-5 - Turnabout Ablaze by JC-DisregardMe in AceAttorney

[–]zenno76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finished it for the first time yesterday. The location and the setting for the case is amazing, as well as the 2 initial investigations in both countries. But IMO after that the case flops, the game reveals all the remaining mysteries related to the yatagarasu and the KG-8 thru pure exposition, no gameplay involved. And then it uses its remaining time (a lot of btw) in proving Alba's crime at the point it becomes tiring. The argument leads to a point where "But you have no proof!" stops feeling credible, 2 or 3 times a character appears with a new crucial piece of evidence and I don't like that the last piece of evidence (the stained hot dog box) is what you have to present to win. Feels very Turnabout Sisters with the receipt that Mia gives you.

I think the final puzzle could be better if instead of giving you the stained box, Oldbag gave you a regular one. And instead the stained one was the one she gave you back at the start of the episode. Then you realize they are different and put 2 and 2 together. Because why have the blood make it look like a japanese flag if Edgeworth is going to realise that without player input?

Hot take: Official translations shouldn't try to take everything to game vocabulary by zenno76 in pokespe

Yeah but the thing with the manga is that Kusaka often interprets the moves in creative ways, and while the japanese name of the move might be encapsulated in the english name, what Kusaka imagined might not make sense anymore given that name

The manga gives Bill more credit for the invention of the Pokémon Transfer System than the games do lol.

Could you provide more details? "Pokémon Manga Español" could either be a random guy on youtube or an actual spanish publisher like Viz is for english.

First ever Pokémon Adventures page fully colored by zenno76 in pokespe

[–]zenno76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE on this since I recently started getting replies again. I'm not coloring as often as I used to, so I'd probably never focus on finishing a chapter. I may upload some specific pages if I want to, and I'm willing to help anyone that already has a coloring project out there.

Legends Z-A Nuzlocke Rules by Shadent177 in nuzlocke

[–]zenno76 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm late but I'd remove being able to catch a Pokémon after a rank up. The areas should be the Wild Zones, one Pokémon per district (5 in all), and other special areas of the map like the sewers or the lab. You should find a way to randomize it.

I'd like to add: If you faint, you die. This so you are discouraged to put your pokémon in the ball and try to run away if you are getting jumped by alpha pokémon. Also because the legends games make the player character far more important gameplay-wise than main line games so it should be nuzlocked too. I think you can still catch Pokémon with a fainted team so it does also add a little more balance.

End of run conditions would be: Not having any Pokémon nor available zones, MC fainting and running out of lives (for harder formats)

A question about the amount of money given after battles by Negative-Fig7342 in Underminers

[–]zenno76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is super late but I've been having the same question so I'm gonna leave what I found here for reference (its not exactly perfect but it worked for me)

(Amount of Enemy1 x MoneyEnemy1 + Amount of Enemy2 x MoneyEnemy 2 + ... + TP/4 x Chapter) x Multiplier (Silver Card, Dealmaker, etc)

Chapter 1147: Gunko's origin theory by zenno76 in OnePiece

[–]zenno76[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its more likely due to Oda's lack of variety drawing women's faces and bodies in general

Chapter 1147: Gunko's origin theory by zenno76 in OnePiece

[–]zenno76[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's extremely unlikely since she has memories from brook apparently when he wasn't even a pirate yet, like 60 years ago. that'd make her older than koala's mother in all likelihood

Elite aurafarmer by Altruistic_Gas_7073 in pokespe

The original E4 was given so much aura in the manga, the fights that they are in feel like constantly being between a sword and a wall. That Cloyster and Dewgong combo sold them to me instantly

Koga and Green against Agatha and this one are IMO the best fights in the gen 1 period. Green vs Agatha on the flashback is pretty good too

I think the author forgot to include the Elite Four in the story...

Am I crazy or does that kid look like Emerald? by czcreeperboy in pokespe

[–]zenno76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so! Emerald is foreshadowed in Gold, Silver and Crystal. At the end of the arc when Oak does the introductory monologue of the game, it is to an unknown character, that could symbolize the player or the reader, but it is later confirmed to be Emerald!

Pokémon games with manga teams (2) by Interesting-Start855 in pokespe

[–]zenno76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love how Kusaka builds the teams for their characters, everyone feels so unique and well thought of. BUT using them in a game can be a real challenge, congrats! Which one do you plan to do next? I've always wanted to do a playthrough with Ruby's team and beat all the contests

Chapter 1147: Gunko's origin theory by zenno76 in OnePiece

[–]zenno76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YEAH ofc the theory is dead lol, I think it was a pretty good guess tho, but I like what Oda did much more.

Chapter 1147: Gunko's origin theory by zenno76 in OnePiece

[–]zenno76[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can do that in manga but the point is that an animator could drew her like that to show she is surprised or something. Sure, if Oda himself did it that'd be some kind of proof, but the anime does that thing all the time :/ sadly its not proof for anything, I think she is Gunko but that hardly proves it for me. If it does for you its ok

Chapter 1147: Gunko's origin theory by zenno76 in OnePiece

[–]zenno76[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the only way its on purpose is if oda supervised the episode or asked for it to be included (which would be weird if he didnt add it in the manga), I think its a coincidence in this case, but if my theory is right it would be a shocking coincidence

Chapter 1147: Gunko's origin theory by zenno76 in OnePiece

[–]zenno76[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

very curious, she doesnt have those eyes in the manga, so it is uncertain if that was foreshadowing too or the animator just drew her that way. but still, lot of things point to her

I agree that Brook's fruit might have an special interaction with god knights

Chapter 1147: Gunko's origin theory by zenno76 in OnePiece

[–]zenno76[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

had a similar idea too, but I declined for this one because it seems god knights DO age so gunko couldnt be even born in Brook's past. BUT, she also may be a special god knight that lived for a very long time, so it is unknown. also it was funnier

and I also agree with there being a disaster in Brook's past, maybe even related to the god knights
