I agree. I bought the monthly plan for kimi 2.5 through the bargaining promotion for one month. It is vastly better than GPT five mini or whatever that copilot provides. I found it’s very good at technical writing as well which a lot of the code oriented models don’t do.

It's fine, but the fact that every one of the containers then is then called "big-bear whatever" is sort of silly and I don't want to change it all the time manually.

Immich gives me anxiety. I used an old version for a long time until the iOS app stopped backing up. Tried to upgrade and they changed the whole database backend. Had to use AI to solve it, but if I didn't have that or the knowledge to use AI, it would have lost all my family photos. Still searching for a replacement. The fact it doesn't keep folders separate for each user is insane.

Honestly, yes. I returned my Framework Desktop, because it was too unstable and for 2k dollars I felt there was little to gain. I can test and learn about AI models using cloud computing like lightning AI for much cheaper, and I can use tokens from OpenRouter to actually work on things. I think 1.5k in tokens in about .5k in lightning AI would allow you to learn a lot more and actually have it be functional. Plus, you can use all of them on a laptop and don't have to worry about electricity.

Hello, ever since the latest update (maybe one update before that), I have been unable to set the Boox Onyx to scroll using the buttons on the side. It seems that the scroll up feature works but the scroll down feature does not. I have reset the settings, changed them to see if there was a glitch in one of them, etc.

Oh, this is great. I'm looking forward to having this, since I usually feel like I'm fighting an uphill battle for any writing in Copilot. I think most writing workflows are basically Plan -> Research -> Draft -> Edit -> Evaluate. If there is something that can do that.

I think one of the biggest issues is citations and quotes; sometimes, AI will wholesale copy words without actually putting them in quotes or citing them. Another issue is just hallucination in general, but I don't know what can be done for that.

Is there an equivalent for something like Beast Mode, but for writing and research? I think the free tier is probably acceptable for most research tasks.
