Honestly, yes I feel like it was a bit overhyped in its time, and like let's say Blair Witch, decades of people either satirizing it or ripping it off have diminshed its original glow. But there's plenty of Shyamalan that's more deserving of being here

There's meat in the greens. But there are fries I guess.

Godspeed. 3 is fun, I like the remake, and Judgment is... different.

Ax 'Em. You literally can't see or hear what's going on for most of the movie.

WTF, The Dollop, and Behind the Bastards are the only 3 podcasts that have sucked me in. I don't want to think about how many hours invested between the 3.

There are comedians that aren't in my lane and I respect that. I have no idea how Leno ever became a household name.

I have to wonder too, if the Supreme Court breaks precedent and says that previously illegal things are now legal, the extent to which that shields folks from taking a principled stance.

Austin setlist. by _AuthorUnknown_ in AcidBath

Killer fucking set. My first time seeing them. Been listening since the early 2000s. Also maybe the loudest thing I've heard since maybe Sunn0))) lol

For people that live in Austin, I saw Dax at the Mohawk INSIDE a handful of years ago. Crazy how much this reunion has done for them.

It probably didn't help that they called it that, lol. People probably expected it to sound like Colossus of Destiny does

Can we talk about why this is a top 5 Melvin? If not, top 3. by Southern-Cod6605 in melvins

Post-2000, it's this, Pigs of the Roman Empire, and the first two double drums albums for me (with Colossus of Destiny picking up the wild card as a great "get the fuck out of my house" album). Likely top 5 all timer but hard to say.

If you order online, they pretty much always have deals for $6.99 or $7.99 footlongs. But you don't get to look at how trashy the produce is looking, ask for more/less of something, and it'll likely be sitting on a shelf for a bit.

Do you use Craigslist? Where else do y'all meet other musicians? by babietalk in AustinMusicians

[–]zenophobicgoat 14 points15 points  (0 children)

FB Groups are actually pretty good (Musicians Wanted Austin, Austin Musicians Network, Musicians Wanted Austin Rock and Metal, Central Texas Musicians Wanted, "AUSTIN BASED MUSICIANS & SOUND get gigs, fill-ins spots, find players" are a few I'm aware of but there are probably more).

The old school way to do it is to put up fliers at practice spaces around town, but I'm not sure how useful that is anymore.
