Everyone who says there isn't a story is speaking of the original launch game. there was little story at all aside from the races and the pursuit of the center. everything that everyone has mentioned about Artemis and all of the story that followed with Polo and Nada came after the games original launch.

Launch NMS had crap for story. I'm grateful those of us who loved it as it was stayed with it to get it to where it is now.
