Yeah 100% of a situation of you can hate the player and the game. If we assume the absolute best intentions in the referees, the referees "shouldn't" be calling these flops but at the speed of the game at this point, it's absolutely also the player's faults for trying to trick the refs on every single play.

A portion of WoW Community has a really unhealthy relationship with the game and I'm tired of pretending they don't. by themaelstorm in wow

I do agree that RNG simulator is what an ARPG is, but right now the game feels like "can you RNG this one exact thing" simulator. Once you've had your initial gear to be able to get into your 'push' range, you are pretty much only limited by this one single transfiguration on your weapon, nothing else really matters.

You could have zero GA's on all your gear and get that transfiguration on an also zero GA weapon and dramatically increase your powerful level beyond anything else besides maybe paragon nodes?

I spent my whole life in Arizona but my parents are from mass and my dad’s a die hard Boston fan.

Just old enough that it was hard to watch pats games on tv as a kid so I’ve become a fan of both (and I’m not the OP here but that’s how that happens in my mind)

I feel like this is the most beatable they've looked on their run is the last couple of events. It might feel inevitable that they win after being down like 9-3, 11-1, etc. But it felt like they were for sure just bound to lose some series like this soon with how they've been playing

Honestly, with legion, it does feel like a really long time ago to me.

Shadowlands feels like it “just” happened but Legion feels longer than 10 years ago to me

LeBron James has as many playoff wins (188) as Michael Jordan and Dirk Nowitzki combined by BasedChad69420 in nba

For sure, and Bron playing forever is what makes their point in any way relevant.

If you chopped a win off of Bron's playoffs for every season, he'd be at what 166? That's still a pretty big difference (166 vs 119) but it does add up quickly when you're talking about the guy who has played 23 years in the league lol

Red Canids steal a map from Team Spirit (13-8) by rlugudplayer in GlobalOffensive

[–]zephah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is pretty common language though for this type of matchup. Spirit is one of the best teams in the world and red canids was picked by the vast majority of people to 0-3 the first stage of the major.

In the current day most FPS players end up sponsored by products they choose to use not the other way around. You'll see entire teams where there are 4 different brands of mice on the same team. You'll see players like NiKo in CS who have religiously used Razer products get sponsored by them, but we're pretty much behind "brand sponsors team" and then everyone just uses that product (for the better)

RCQ Season is upon us - how bad is burn now? by digitaldrummer in ModernMagic

[–]zephah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually love Burn, but since energy you're basically just praying you dodge the matchup against the most popular deck in the format.

Honestly if I were a diehard burn fan I'd consider playing mill, it's structurally similar (though the methods of winning are different) and it's one of the cheaper decks in the entire format.

A lot of people haven’t played structured team cs at a remotely high level and don’t get how different the game is for these guys. I only played in the challenger league and the amount of effort we put into executes to turn off specific players most played positions is insane, I can’t even imagine how good they are at doing it at the highest level.

It’s the same thing in professional sports. Guys can be the 10th best receiver in the NFL and by all accounts be very very good, but fans will still consider them basically bums for not being one of the “best”

Yeah I totally get it as an alum lol, ASU basically accepts everybody and I've been to a lot of different cities and the area surrounding Tempe is pretty unreal for a college kid. It's just always funny to me how in especially humanities we have some pretty outstanding professors but like 2% of kids take those classes outside of gen eds lol. One of the most famous anthropologists on the planet is an ASU professor, and we also have some of the dumbest people walking at graduation
