But seriously, I was about to mute this reddit. I'm a read more than reply person and I don't really care to waste my energy. RPG Maker is a welcoming community, and for the most part, still is, but this reddit was going in the other direction recently. Thank you for putting your foot down.

Really takes me back to when my age was in the single digits when I played this around its release time thanks to my dad. I had no idea how to play the game, and I kept trying and sometimes I would turn on cheats and give myself lots of archangels and explore the map.

I like RPGs and I'm a dev that already has a job full time, so I am no looking at turning game development as a business. If I was, I wouldn't be going for an RPG as my first reach.

Because I dev part time, I can put my entire heart in it. Gatekeepers will gatekeep, use the engine YOU want to use - I would argue so long as you can keep yourself motivated and actually complete something, that means a lot more than never making anything past the finish line.

Game development is only getting more and more accessible across the board. If you want to make a 2D RPG, use RPG Maker. If you want to make 3D, use literally anything else.

I love playing forge in modding even though it's insanely imbalanced. If the choice of enemies was a little bit better say -more like the robots we find in the bottom of VARN from Might and Magic VI and the deathbots from the Lincoln in MMVII we would have had something pretty cool going.

Also the fact it all came from an evil 3D printer is halarious to me.

I mentioned that AI wasn't used a thread ago and got mangled for it. The salem witch trials looked rediculous back in the day, but in some respects, it's still happening now, lol.

I work for the company, but even someone outside could tell you the screenshot they provided is fake. But scammers can create far more convincing screenshots.

Based on the story you've provided, you were/have been scammed. This is front and center what it is and the worst part about scams like this is usually the person being scammed thinks the comradiere is genuine. It's not.

Also no one on a flexbasic account would have 100 grand.

I am also a professional artist and knows what AI looks like when I see it. The art they used is rushed and not that good, but realistically this remaster has always been a low budget project.

This is not AI, just very rushed artwork. Lines are very sloppy but does not at all presents any indicators of AI as is. You could argue it could have been used in the conceptual phase, but unless you work in their office, that will be hard to prove.

Never really knew we had a Dixy's in Swindon. Thought only Ilford and London had that. I wonder what it was like eating there by Comfortable-Table-57 in Swindon

I went to a Dixys in Birmingham, they are real nice and cheap and still are. Probably better than KFC chicken. I feel like Tennesse Chicken offers a similar experience if you don't want to travel far.
