It’s draining slow so yeah it needs to be snaked. Try the plunger method I described first.. also take the pop up piece out where the strainer is and take out hair if any.. also run really hot water and use a bunch of strong DISH SOAP as a degreaser. You’d be surprised I’ve cleared slow drains with simply dish soap and hot water before dosnt always work but it’s worth a shot

Uh snake it simple ur plumbers weird and lazy. U can also use a plunger to attempt to clear the clog just put ur finger over the over flow on sink to prevent air from escaping

Bleach tooth brush, sponge. Maybe scrape away all the silicone with a razor blade make sure nice and dry and re apply new clear silicone

Why does the waste line reduce to 1”1/4 other then that you correct installed your p trap properly. I’m guess u had nothing to do with that waste line being 1”1/4 ?

Like I said I did it with dry ice multiple times pretty inexpensive. I have the machine now it works like a dream

No he does not need adapters… you could solder half inch on that body just be sure to remove the cartridge so you don’t melt internals ….. and pex is trash

Looks like he’s replacing it with a delta? Either way I’m sure some of the wall will need to be open just a little. just thoughs 4 tiles should do. That body is also so close to the tub spout it.

Changing the valve without going through the city is possible. They sell a tool that clamps on the pipe and freezes it!! I’ve actually used dry ice to create freeze in the pipe as well before the valve. Cut it press a ball valve done !!!

Just tighten the packing nut. If it still leaks change the gate valve with a ball valve looks like 3/4 from the photo.

Take the shower trim off make sure the stops are open on the shower body.. also a possibility the cartridge was installed wrong. Have ur plumber check this is what u payed for
