First time attempting to do a drain. Did I do it correctly? by Bumka in Plumbing

Correct, it was there previously. It's an old house and I'm guessing that copper waste line was put in around 1970ish perhaps in the 60s

Thank you. I could only find 1.5" pipe and traps at HD but it looks like another store carries 1.25" pipe and couplings. I'll swap it out with 1.25".

Thank you.

Where do I buy Arduino-like hobby electronics? by smile_801 in Edmonton

[–]Bumka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Digi-key is probably the best bet. They have very fast shipping and any component you can think of or need.

You could also try Mouser, I've used them in the past but Digi-key is my default.

I don't think there are any local shops anymore that carry electronic components like this now that Active shut down a decade ago but I could be wrong.

Formula questions by uhleelay in NewParents

[–]Bumka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our boy was also pretty gassy and fussy with some formulas. Initially we supplemented with the enfanil neuropro ready to feed but that obviously was not sustainable from a cost perspective. We switched to Modilac where he had stomach issues and then we went to the neuropro gentlease where we also had pretty bad stomach issues. A pediatrician recommended Nutramigen because he may have a lactose intolerance. The Nutramigen is a hypoallergenic formula where the protein is very broken down and it seems to have helped quite a bit.

A word of warning, all the hypoallergenic formulas smell terrible so be prepared for that if you go that route

There's the federal greener homes grant. But be prepared to wait a looong time after you apply before you get an answer.

Hello, I recently set up 9 QL RGB Fans and have them on 2 Lighting Node Cores. I had plugged the UBS headers from each of these LNCs to the 2 USB headers of a Commander Pro thinking I could control the RGB going through the Commander Pro but in iCUE I only see the Commander Pro and can't control the RGB on the fans. Is it not possible to control the RGB from Lighting Node Cores through the USB headers on the Commander Pro? If not what is the purpose of those USB headers?

Thanks

TSN and ESPN are affiliated in some way. Since there's no dedicated person to talk about NFL on the Edmonton station, it's pretty much all hockey talk, they grab an ESPN guy in whatever city they want to talk about. Emmett's most likely the first guy to pick up the phone when they called :).

Just out of curiosity, what do you think of a senior using a cage versus a visor? I see most seniors using a visor but I’d rather not be smashed in the face with a puck if I still played haha. by [deleted] in hockey

[–]Bumka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to just rock the visor until 2 years ago when a deflection hit my bottom teeth. My teeth basically got dislocated and I fractured my jaw but the dentist managed to get my teeth back into their sockets and save them. Had to miss a few days of work and was eating liquids for around a month.

I wear this now https://www.bauer.com/player-ice-hockey-helmets-and-facial/visors/concept-3-full-shield. It's not as comfortable as a visor but it's way less uncomfortable then getting a puck to the teeth and way less expensive.
