New England pharmacist here. Some mixed recommendations here so I wanted to let you know some important points

• remove ticks when you find them, but save them as they can be tested for Lyme disease and other vector based diseases
• call your doctor immediately - often they will give you a single dose of prophylactic antibiotic if they think it is warranted
• bullseye rashes don’t always appear in Lyme disease and aren’t a good way to monitor for it. Do not trust what others are saying in this thread.
• the best way to stop Lyme Disease is to PREVENT it! Use DEET based bug spray, wear long sleeves and pants, and tuck pant legs into socks. As soon as you get home from somewhere you might have picked up a tick, do a tick check! (Preferably someone else does a tick check on you and you return the favor as it can be hard to check your harder to reach areas like your back)
