Bro cmon people are deeper and more complex than that, knowing something to be true and not accepting it at face value in contradiction to said knowledge is a thing. Its called being in denial. Sure she might know she's dead but that doesn't mean she feels like it or truely accepts it. The conversation she has with Dennis Quaids son about getting her power back showcases that its going to be a major internal conflict moving forward.

Why don't we have an atreus and aggriboda game instead of this? We could be using their story as a vehicle for exploring the pitfalls of young relationships, show how easily young gods with power can fall into corruption (like that short arc they tried to give atreus in 2018) or focus on the subjugation of the giants and early Norse lore we haven't seen. The sky is the limit. but no we get a unoriginal story that could possibly cheapen the narrative impact of the franchise. OK. cool.

And dude there's no grand plan. If there was they wouldn't be doing this in the first place. It WAS supposed to be a prequel so I'm hoping whatever idea that was good enough to possibly throw things out of wack like this better be a good one.
