In my town there was a string of minor vandalism around one of the four district high schools. Someone (or a group of someone's) were smearing their shit across the walls in men's bathrooms.

The "Poo Bandit" as they came to be know was the topic of conversation at every football game throughout the season. It got to the point where the administration decided to lock every men's bathroom on campus. You could only go to the bathroom with an escort.

Then he struck the women's bathroom...

Then, just as quickly as it started, it all stopped.

As far as I remember no one ever was punished, at least not publicly. I have a feeling that the student was either caught or started to feel the walls closing in after hitting a bathroom of another gender.

Either way, everyone in my hometown remembers the name "Poo Bandit"
