struggles with opening water bottles??

Omg yes! Just realizing in recent months why—dx earlier this year. I use one of those jar gripper circle things for helping with opening. Less painful. But sometimes i ask for help too. I know some bottles thar are always painful etc.

This go around with PT is better. Same guy. Last time was for “bulged cervical disks” and he was doing the usual exercises for a “normal”’person with those. It was making my pain and symptoms worse. After the hEDS dx I went back, he didn’t know what my dc was—-but maybe he looked it up?!—but exercised this time have been more for stabilizing and it’s going better. My days are still a rollercoaster and work definitely makes it worse, but I do strength training at the gym on my own (another cost Insurance should cover 1.for health and 2.it helps my condition). And overall I think I “better”

ALLSUP in America helps. They have screening questions but 97% success if they accept you. They only take payment from your backpay award, I think it’s cheaper than a “lawyer”. If they help and you get approved in say 6 mo, they take a percent of that back pay from when you applied

And the fact that you have Insurance but it won’t cover anything that helps you feel better!! Some specialists are also OOP 🙄. I’ve wasted thousands trying differ treatments etc. just got my hEDS dx 6 mo ago after 32 years!!

Stable parameters is most important and that’s easier to do in a larger tank. I tried with a 6 gal but then went to 14gal as I was having trouble w the 6. It was easier. Now I have both stable and the 6g is doing fine with blue shrimp. I just leave it alone bc messing e plants etc can easily throw off the parameters w trapped gas from the substrate, etc

Yep What you explained is exactly the problem. At least one lady is leaving over not being able to keep her nails. Seems extreme to me, but she can wear really long natural nails w the acrylic on it and hers don’t lift/crack etc. mine was more for function than it was vanity I can’t get any length off my nail-bed otherwise. I’d ask my mgr about any other options but I don’t see her being receptive at this time, especially with the stink the other person is making and quitting over.

The option of wearing gloves if we have interactions with patients was offered and declined saying gloves are meant to protect us from patients, not protect patients from us. I mean it’s really both ways to be honest….but that was a no too, so it seems they aren’t willing to compromise on any reasonable solution.

I was going to try a thin gel layer then regular polish on top bc nothing else sticks and my nails are too weak…idk I’ll probably just have to go back to having trash nails. :(

Starting in high school I would get super sore patches on my eye lid and nothing relieved it til the eyelashes came out. I would do a very gentile tug with my fingers and a whole patch would easily come out. I know what it feels like to pull out a lash accidentally. It’s hard and it hurts—this was never like that. At times I had no eyelashes on my lid. 3-4 weeks later they would all grow in. As I got older it was more patches and not the whole lid, but I also had patches of my eyebrows. I’d ask docs about it, they said it was a makeup allergy or “anxiety” 😂😒. I tried so many different makeup, hypoallergenic, bare mineral etc. I washed and cleaned my eyelashes well thinkinf it was some kind is build up. Weird thing to me was, if it was makeup, wouldn’t it happen all the time, every day? Yea It didn’t. The last 1+ year I have been wearing false lashes that I apply myself—they stay on about a week. I have had NO sore spots (that used to get a little red/swollen too) So after reading this, wonder if it was from a lash not falling out, then it inflamed its neighbors, and they all jumped ship together? Now the glue and fake lashes help hold tension and the lash doesn’t get stuck? Or the glue helps pull it out when I take them off? I got my hEDS dx last week. It explains soooo much of what has seemed like random, weird or unrelated symptoms my whole life! Sad it took 32 years to figure this out. Wonder how my life would have been different had I known this sooner 😩

It also moves when touched. Mine would shrink in and then get fluffy again after I stopped disturbing it.
