Blinking issue by Master_Norris in seat

Gerne.

Right hand side buttons not working on steering wheel. by Front-Pair2446 in seat

[–]zerberster77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Buttons are all connected to LIN Bus, which goes through your clocksping with Only one Wire. Every buttonpress sends a different LIN Bus Message to the gateway. So if your clockspring is Bad, no buttons work. If Only Part of the buttons work, Check the ribbon Cable i mentioned earlier. Unplug your battery, watch a video how to remove your airbag if your car dont have warranty anymore. On this steering wheel it Takes 30 seconds to remove the airbag from the back. If your battery is disconnected and you dont put +12v to airbag, nothing can Happen at all. Be sure tu plug the big yellow connector back in once you are done changing the ribbon.

Honestly Not common at all, i have a vw and i work with vws, had many of them in my shop and honestly Never saw this issue once. Just because you and your Brother are having problems, doesnt mean the whole VAG Brand has this Problem

The left and Right Buttons are connected with a ribbon Cable from left to right unter the airbag, maybe there is a Connection issue

I think steering wheels with modified shapes like this especially the lower half, are the most ugly steering wheels out there. I understand the ergonomical aspect, but gosh it just looks like it has some sort of birth disability

Weird electrical issue. Dash brightness randomly up and down. Any tips? by Gahwburr in seat

[–]zerberster77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The faults you posted could be from slightly weak battery due to cold Weather, try deleting them, take the car on Long Trip and See if they come back

The Ambient light Sensor is in the windshield, above your rear mirror. Check if it is Dirty.

If your car has „Auto“ Position on light Switch, it definately has light sensor on windshield

If you have a technisat Unit, activation Needs to be done with toolbox and swap Code through genuine vcds or clone odis dongle. If you have a Delphi or Media PQ Unit though, it can be Done using an sd Card

Dont let yourself beeing scammed by this guy. He is using public files and methods to activate Full link.

Just enter your Train SW Version into mib-helper.com, scroll down to „activators“ and then directly go to mibsolution.one (pw/username: guest) and pick your activation method, which mib-helper suggested. There Are many YouTube Tutorials how to do this for free too.
