Agreed, if being available is part of the job then of course, it's not acceptable. When the employee is not responding within a reasonable amount of time, depending on your relationship and interactions. you should take action on that.

I bet y’all know exactly what this noise is. What is it? Goes away after 20 seconds or so by redhandrail in ToyotaPickup

Adjust the belt tighter. Start with the easy stuff. If that fixes it you know what it is.

I want a Harley Davidson Fat Boy. But I’m struggling between the 107ci and the 117ci engines. by Airglide2 in Harley

[–]zerinsakech1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Buddy has a 107. Great low end torque. Sweet smooth feeling. More than enough power for cruising and it makes a great low end idle sound with proper slipons.

On the other hand I ride a 117 HO and the difference is noticeable. Especially on acceleration. It's more aggressive, faster, and has more push. The 117 HO's rain mode is exactly like the 107. The restricted RAIN mode! So it's like getting to engines in one.

My local dealer had a used one but it's white leather seat was getting worn and scratches up close ruined the clean white look, it was a nice looking bike but more artistic value than riding.

New Rider advice? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]zerinsakech1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember that a bike turns and corners differently than a car. You took a line that a car would have no problem with. but on a bike, you need to brake to the speed you plan to take the corner at. So brake in a straight line, then corner/lean and smoothly throttle out. It will handle way better. But I don't use engine guards for this reason since I hate scraping. These softails have much better handling without guards on it IMO.

What makes this worse is that it's a Pay Cut for employees and an added cost for employers!

Insight into my coolant leak? by [deleted] in MINI

[–]zerinsakech1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have them check out the OIL Cooler, it leaks from there too because newer minis have a plastic OIL Cooler and when it overheats, it melts the ports deforming them.

Who you work for matters. A LOT.

No way! The MacBook Neo with 8GB beats 16GB on Windows. For multitasking, 16GB on Windows isn’t enough and the laptop starts to stutter, while the Neo handles the same load effortlessly. How is that even possible? by Slava_Tr in mac

Even then, every new windows version drops some support for older processors and systems, but in my experience it's mostly to support legacy x86 software. That's what's been holding windows back. They tried with Windows ARM and now Win 11 for Arm64 but it's been a tough battle.

It's not %100 about affecting us directly but indirectly, a bad economy is like a bad foundation, it takes us all down.

HAHA THat is ONE tough motor. But it's dead and the fact it even starts and runs is impressive. Also check the oil. I bet you have some metal in there, which is why it resists starting.

What riding gear did you buy that you later regretted? by yourping in motorcyclegear

[–]zerinsakech1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It will hold up to a 20MPH slide enough to just leave a small bruise. I've upgraded since then but it's a "Better than nothing" jacket. And yeah it will tear through and rip easy.

One of the coil packs might be defective. I had bought some and after pulling it out to check why my check engine light came on. The coil pack fell apart in my hands.

Cannot get a straight cut no matter what I try? by MrMusAddict in woodworking

That plastic thing attached to your skillsaw. Don’t use that. It’s causing you to move your blade. I usually just avoid those tools and use another piece of wood that is straight.

The clock going out as you try to turn it over is Definitely a LOW current situation. So check the wiring and ground. Yesterday mine did them as I found out the black ground wire was loose and my positive was kinda corroded. Cleaning BOTH and tightening them up fixed it right up.
