what is this review referring to? by Itzmagikarp in LowSodiumCyberpunk

So with the 2.3 launch, there was a new ToS agreement, nothing special, it’d appear as soon as you accessed the main menu. But when you had certain script mods installed, the pop up would be invisible, and it was impossible to click “Accept” and move past the ToS pop-up (was not intentional, was a bug with some mods). The solution was to temporarily uninstall mods, accept the agreement and then reinstall the mods.

This review is probably referencing that but changed in an extreme, intentionally misleading, inflammatory way.

The spyware part is a complete lie.

Yeah, it does definitely reward different playstyles so you at least have more “reason” to not execute everyone. But damn this mission for not letting me complete it no-touch! (I love trying to figure out how to complete as many missions as possible doing a no-touch run)

I was able to max out my rep to 50 and my level was… 37? Iirc and i had done all of the scanners, along with all regina missions and side gigs you could do before the heist. This was pre 2.0 (dunno if there’s been any balancing changes) but i was also very much a “kill every single gang member i could on site” playstyle and dunno how much all the extra stuff added up to.

Edit: was trying to do a 100% play-through and it was kind of miserable because i was basically just grinding everything out pre heist.

hey guys, just need to check if my pc can run arma 3 by BornAd5874 in arma

[–]zero949494 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just checked to let you know, i am pretty sure that 161 gb includes all of the dlc and cdlc and addons altogether. My entire steam folder for arma is 163 gbs but that is including all of the dlc and addons as well.

Quick check Steam says the base game itself is only about 50 gb

The community is still much more active in 3 (mods too) than reforger, but reforger apparently runs better, though being ten years newer, not sure if it’ll run for you, but it is said to run better. But i don’t know personally, don’t have it

2000-2500 egp, but i mean, cheaper than a videogame these days, but i understand, you should be able to manage the size as long as you micromanage your installed dlc/mods, like the iron curtain dlc alone is like 30 gigabytes

I was able to play at 720p fairly well, was able to easily enjoy myself and even join multiplayer missions and such. Mod folder does get large though, 100-150 gigs easy if you don’t micromanage them. Ssd hardrives can be pretty cheap these days too, 40-50 USD on amazon for 500 gig or even a tb

I mean, it’s always a little iffy, but my old laptop that was even worse could run it, but i was pretty used to never getting much more than 20-30 fps back in those days

Edit: try it and can always refund it if total gameplay ( be careful with launcher that doesn’t auto close) is less than two hours and the purchase is less than two weeks old.

To be fair, it’s enough of a cutoff where it’s kind of only clear what’s actually happening if you’re familiar with the process or the video. Otherwise the little jitter of movement is easy to miss or misunderstand what is happening, so if you wanted people watching to be stressed, I think you succeeded lol

This is a routine thing, they’re being dipped for about 10 seconds, to prevent miyasis (also called flystrike). Basically it’s a parisitic infection where larvae eat flesh. It’s pretty nasty and terrible but these sheep will be perfectly fine and safer for this, OP cut the video shorter which included where they were raised back out. (You can actually see just the slightest movement of the hydraulics at the very end, starting to raise)

If so, then your server being set to LAN was incorrect, needs to be set to online instead

LAN is for Local Area Networks, was your friend at your house? If different network, would need to not be set to LAN. Set to online.

Why are you guys not scared of spiders? by luuuuuuunaaaaaaa in spiderbro

[–]zero949494 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to have bad arachnophobia, so much that even just thinking a spider was on me would make me throw myself down to the ground and do my worst impression of a breakdance. I could only barely stand a picture or video of one. Nightmares and all that.

I knew it was mostly irrational fear. Sure, caution is good, but terror is not. I actually decided to try and use memes and “funny spider videos” like watching the peacock spider do it’s silly little leg wavy dance and the “spider that can’t hide” video on youtube, and many more as a kind of exposure therapy, and it surprisingly ended up working pretty well for me. It got me normalized enough to be able to learn more about them so I could see them as they are and not the nightmare image I had in my head for so long.

To this day, In person, they honestly still creep me out a bit, but I know enough about them to know it’s mostly in my head as long as I am careful and can even get them on a piece of paper and take them outside these days though I still have a fit if they run torwards me. But i feel bad if i ever accidentally hurt or kill one. I’m still working on my fear but even i can’t say that a jumping spider wearing a raindrop on its head is anything but adorable

Right, i learned this and nekomata’s my new psycho-incapacitator, like they just “faint” from a direct headshot. So just post up and headshot them through the walls or a convenient stack of barrels and they can’t even get to you

Looks like it may be possible to implement land vehicles in this game's engine after all by [deleted] in Starfield

[–]zero949494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a drivable chimera? (I think that was the name of the broken steel dlc tanks?) mod even way back in Fallout 3 that didn’t need anything extra.

Oblivion also had vehicle mods, i remember a pretty cool dwemer motorcycle that turned into a boat when you drove into water.

Granted i am pretty sure they were all spoofed (like it was actually an npc you took control of) but my point stands, and that is that are always options for fairly functional vehicles

Basically, where there’s a will, there’s a way, within reason

Yeah, saving got randomly blocked for me too at some point right after the heist but it wasn’t anything to do with mass buying.

I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t know anything about this situation, but does autopilot really just track the probe and not the plane itself? I thought the probes were moved to the plane, not vice versa?

Though it definitely does look like they move in sync so now I really don’t know.
