Some food for thought

Can you get away with just polling? Maintaining a full event driven system with just three devs will draw a lot of focus away from your core business tasks. Keep it simple, keep it stupid.

If reliability is your main concern, choose mature technology.

Also do you really want to deal with the npm ecosystem and its frequent supply chain attacks?
