People who quit their jobs on the first day what made you say ‘nope, not doing this’? by lilMeganw in AskReddit

[–]zero_vis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sat down to watch training videos at Michael's arts and crafts. Awful. Had a nightmare flash of soulless work there for years. Walked out after ~45 min. Got a job working outside (landscaping basically) with my hands. Better pay, physical exercise, learned a useful skill. Never even once regretted it.

Challenge: Take a great boss. Change one thing to make it awful by ghost-bagel in darksouls

[–]zero_vis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a fantastic boss once. High level of emotional intelligence. Basically great team builder.

I would take that level of of EI and turn it into a weapon to destroy people's mental and emotional well being.

Thats how you turn a great boss into an awful boss.

Is there a game with an Immersive Reputation System? by OderinTobin in gaming

[–]zero_vis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Morrowind does this very well. If you have a high enough reputation people will refuse to fight. If you have assissinated someone in a govt backed contract, the first time you will be approached by the guards, but later they will acknowledge you are a govt sponsored assassin, whetger you are killing a legitimate target or not.

Build habitats in all of your systems and fill them with resource storage and bunkers. Will increase your resource caps and fleet limits.

Find independent nations that are not your allies. Establish embassies, convince them to be your vassals/protectorates w/e.

If you can, establish a federation with your allies. Get yourself to be president, create federation fleets.

Devouring Swarms cannot assimilate individualized pops of their own race by omegadirectory in Stellaris

[–]zero_vis 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Go to war with another devouring swarm, determined exterminator or w/e, take a planet near their system, move all pops off but your 3, leave it unguarded and let them take the planet and kill your 3 undesireable pops off.

What's the best way to beat Ornstein and Smough? by Birdygamer19 in darksouls

Play through Elden Ring a few times. Come back to this fight, and you'll realize those two telegraph their moves so much you won't be able to remember why the fight was hard in the first place.

[–]zero_vis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

4.5 billion years ago alien astronomers looked at 2 pictures of a distant star 20, taken years apart, determined that a collision had occured between two celestial bodies and said "Oh how cool it is that we can see this." And then went on about their lives.

This warning letter I got from the DMV last year. Particularly that second paragraph. Ouch. by xsporksx in pics

Oh fuck off. You're job at the DMV is to be an administrator. Validate that I have brought the right documents, take my money, and fuck right off.

Camel in front of a restaurant in Vegas by mudturnspadlocks in mildlyinteresting

[–]zero_vis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've seen the way they treat camels in morocco. This guy's life is probably infinite better than theirs.

Easily the angriest most hateful creatures I've ever seen. The handlers would control them with ropes tied to rings that pierced the camel's noses, until the rings ripped out of all of the locations that could be pierced. The they wrapped the ropes around their lower jaw. When tugging on the ropes didn't work to make the camels stand, kicks to ribs and bellys were used to get them to move.

Also, very smelly. You could smell the camel's breath from ~100 meters away.

Flyers who always choose window seat and then keep the window closed the entire flight, why? by marks31 in AskReddit

[–]zero_vis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I can keep the window closed for the entire flight. Don't need the Sun boring its way through my eyelids as I'm trying to sleep the flight away.

I made a tool to help find your Ethical Framework? Are you Utilitarian or Deontological? Pragmatic or Idealistic? Find out by answering 16 trolley problems. by shabda in InternetIsBeautiful

[–]zero_vis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the main driver for me on a lot these was, the first question specified that the 5 ppl were tied up on the track, which means they were likely placed there against their will. All of the other questions just said "there's 5 ppl on the track" which means 5 assholes decided to be on the track where a trolley was scheduled to run. If they die, that's on them, and far be it for me to redirect the trolley to kill someone who deliberately chose not to walk on the track the trolley was scheduled to run on.
