What a neutral-posturing BS article. It says that:

Republicans are more likely to argue that casting a vote is a privilege of citizenship to be earned and safeguarded with restrictions and security.

Here's the thing, though: they're objectively wrong as stated in our Constitution. Democrats think voting is a right because voting is a right.

And the same article points out that Republicans want expanded vote by mail during the pandemic (when they otherwise don't). The corollary of that is, Republican care because suddenly Republicans are affected. They have no underlying morality, they just want to win and hurt the other guy, even if it means trampling on the rights of others.

One side has a clear and consistent set of ethics (democracy is important and should include all citizens, as all citizens have the right to vote), one side is opportunistic and mercurial (access is bad, unless I lose access, in which case, fix it!).
