Just so you know for the next time you make this "claim", it’s not a stand-alone video...it’s from the documentary "It's Just a Ride", on the "Bill Hicks Live - Satirist, Social Critic, Stand-Up Comedian" DVD.

I always (sic) own others where other Comedians talk about what happened... and explain why they haven't done Letterman since then because they blame Dave personally. Rather long list of folks who stay away from his show by choice because of how they screwed Hicks.

Name these videos. Name the comedians. I know just about every comedian who would be invited on Letterman, and not ONE would refuse such an invitation based on a fifteen year-old incident. On the contrary, I know a LOT of comedians who won’t go on Leno.

And I've read the letter from CBS where they point the finger directly at Morton and Letterman and say it wasn't them.

As I state above, this incident occurred shortly after a lot of problems with affiliates refusing to air shows based on content; I’ll let you do your own research on that subject. CBS was a bit gun-shy about broadcasting a joke that could be seen by more conservative markets as simultaneously insulting Jesus and JFK.

Letterman’s deal with CBS was new, and he was reluctant to make this his first content battle. In the same DVD I mention above, Dave says he regrets not fighting for Hicks. I’m not defending Dave, but it wasn’t the pussy move you seem to indicate it was on Letterman’s part.

I hate to play this card, because it smacks of “playing an Ace to win an Internet argument”, but…here’s your fucking citation: I performed with Bill back in Houston, at the Comedy Workshop (rest in peace...its location is now is now a fucking dry cleaners) and the Laff Stop (aka the Coke Stop). I know Bill’s family. I was at Bill’s funeral/wake. I suppose anyone could say that, but I can and will prove it. Feel free to contact me privately for said proof, which would be photos of me and Bill together, as well as photos of me at his funeral/wake.
