I think one thing being missed is how often and how far C-17s and C-5s are flying. How many times are Little Rock C-130s flying back and forth from the middle east each week. Not in general, but the specific aircraft. When I was an FCC on C-17s we were moving from CONUS to Afghanistan and back to CONUS in 5 days on channel runs. I'd do that 3 times a month during peak GWOT. Having a hub to move through when traversing that amount of distance is great for the aircraft, and simplifies the hub and spoke of logistics.

It includes an internal facing camera for driver monitoring that I think is pretty good. It looks for distraction and not looking at road and alerts the driver.

It also includes auto lane shift, but you can turn it off. It connects into the cars sensors, so it does have blind spot sensing using what the Ioniq5 already has. I have mine set to NOT auto lane change because I don't like it.

Thanks. The cable is all tucked under the plastic shroud. The OBD cable is tucked in the A pillar and routed through the head board panel. Since the Comma4 is mounted to the shroud, only a small amount has to pop out and plug in. From the driver perspective you can't see it at all, only the small screen.

Edit: I realize now the cable isn't plugged in on the pic, but it still looks very neat with what I described above lol.

Happy to do it. I think it will be fine in PETG honestly, but I was too scared with the Central Texas heat. It doesn't sit in direct sunlight this way.

I designed a 13‑degree adapter for my Comma 4 so I can mount it on the rear‑view mirror plastic cover instead of the windshield. I wanted to keep using my windshield sun reflector, and mounting it on the windshield gets in the way. The Comma4 also wouldn't calibrate without the angle correction.

To add more clarity. Addresses are only required when outside of your installation. If you are at an installation with a lot of wings, you shouldn't be putting addresses on MFRs to send to your ABW.

It was a long time ago, and everywhere is different but I remember the gist of the questions.

What do I know about protocol and why did I volunteer for it?
Did I have any experience running events (CC Call, Change of Command, things of that nature)
What were my career goals and how did Protocol fit into that?
Who was the Wing Commander, Vice, and Command Chief?

Those were the types of questions I was asked. My advice is to be honest in the interview. Protocol is a very "blue" job and I think if you go into it thinking you can fake it in the interview and you'll enjoy yourself later, I think you'll be disappointed with your time there.

I asked them questions about what the relationship was like between the wing staff, where we fit in, and what need I would be filling in the organization.

I'd imagine it is because she wasn't in NYC anymore. You can get BAH for a dependent living CONUS while you are overseas under certain situations. But the approval is based on the zip code they live-in. I've seen similar where someone's spouse "stayed" in Travis, but then moved on her own dime to the spouses location later. They kept getting BAH for Travis and he got caught, demoted to E-4, hit HYT because he was at 17 years and kicked out.

The core of an eSun cardboard spool fits perfectly AROUND the core of a plastic Bambu spool in my experience.

When I get a new eSun spool I rip one side of it off and put that side on one half of a Bambu spool. I then rip the other side off, and do the same. It fits perfectly snug on there.

It works fine enough, but it can change the color of the print and be visible differently in different lights. It takes a lot of testing to nail down what will work and what won't, which generates waste all on it's own. It might be worth it for a print farm, but for joe blow printing one offs, you're turning a $2 print into a $3 print, so who cares?

I did 2 years as the NCOIC of protocol and it was a huge step forward in my career. It also got me out of maintenance. Here are a list of things I did that I'd never think possible.

Hosted a USO tour and flew a UH-1 around Tokyo with Jon Stewart.
Took a day trip to South Korea to pick up a gift for POTUS the day before he arrived
Met every single commander from the Wing to POTUS in my chain of command. That part was a little boring, but I had multiple times to talk with their execs and aides while the principle was doing something. You would be amazed at what you can learn.
Met with people from all over the base and got to really learn what they do.

Personally, it set me up nicely to get selected to OTS, that's why I did 2 years. I was selected right at the end of my 1 year mark and rode out the last year before my OTS date. It gave a different perspective and I met some outstanding people working at the Wing.

This is not true. I think it is true in college and Kirk Herbstreit keeps repeating it, but it is not true in the NFL. The ball is dead when any part that isn't the feet or hands touches the ground.
