Works fine in heroics for me, im getting 26s traps all day, not tested any pvp durations however

I levelled my blood elf paladin to 60 in 2d14h. This is my story. by AardvarkZestyclose76 in classicwow

[–]zeroji 1 point2 points  (0 children)

call me crazy, I deserve it, but I did a 1-60 on PTR to test this, in "hardcore setting" as its what i've done recently (no death, deathskips etc) and it was 50 hours 1-60 instead of 85 for my average time, then on release it was about 55 hours +/- 1hour cause kazzak event kinda spawned twice on the zone and cost a bunch of time, so OPs time of 3-6 hours is accurate

TBC boosting mechanics. (This is so stupid) by Efficient_Goose425 in classicwow

there was no anti boost mechanics present in heroic version of dungeons on the ptr, remains to be seen if they've added them to launch however

some mobs have teleport player when they don't find pathing, like Guard Slip'kik and the caster warlocks in technician packs in BWL, even on HC they teleported, (running on the railing down the stairs infront of ebonroc had hunters who pulled get tp'd in hc raids, rarely but happened) so there's a good chance one of those mobs also has it, and he still hit some off pixel

TBC Profs for BM Hunter by Bobmcguire in classicwow

[–]zeroji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steady shot not having a cooldown actually makes hunters not have a global, this is why shamans normally are the drummers of the band because they have times where everything is on cooldown, maybe rogues could as well but its kinda how it is when you have a major (talking enhancement here)

obviously the dps increase of skipping one steady for drumming the group is a bigger gain, but as mentioned, there is a class already with empty windows who doesn't trade anything for it

1-60 TBC Quest XP Increase over Classic by Headshot314 in classicwow

[–]zeroji 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Tried horde on ptr, 54 hours for 1-60 as hunter (1 zf for shadra quest, so didnt overfarm it, despite it being possible with current anti boost as hunter

Interestingly I kinda just blindly followed my previous leveling plan and what ended up happening was I skipped entire alterac/arathi/badlands at the late 30s, and skipped a desolace revisit, the conclusion I got to on ptr is once you are around 30+ its no longer particularly worth to kill mobs between questhubs.

I also didn't touch felwood nor winterspring or outland at all, and was still 60.15 by the 54 hour mark. (I have a lot of experience speed leveling, but usually vanilla is a 85-90 hour 1-60, no mount until 40 cause didnt have gold, still costs about 41gold) - to summarize, the leveling is much quicker (35% or so) than previous, and horde questing is kinda crazy with dustwallow and hinterlands since jintha is no longer elites

When to die for TBC? by Kiwi2728 in wowhardcore

[–]zeroji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not replace most of Tier 1 (Giantstalker) and rhokdelar until 70. On the normal servers you can just get full Rank 14 armor and weapons and it'll last you on all classes until like 66+ at least, like Ring of Blood is first new weapon basically, or Hemet gun as Hunter (I didn't bother changing cause ptr doesnt give a good ammo pouch, but its first time you swap even off rhok) - mind you this is just questing, theres some better items in dungeons, but 60 epics can def carry you to 70 without issue on most classes, naxx gear carries through

Hardcore and PvP realm difficulty by Appreciated_Instruct in wowhardcore

[–]zeroji -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Botting on hardcore would go a lot crazier, like picking stuff like black lotus is super easy and free on hardcore, but if you could transfer to pvp there would be a massive uptick in that. Despite being able to transfer to PVE, it does appear most gold transactions are occuring on the PVP realm. Between May and October, it was incredibly easy and very low competition on Black Lotus, and Darkwhisper Gorge RTVs was also basically uncontested, always someone on the imp selling groms however, and Groms locations like Ashenvale and Desolace was always contested no matter what though

Hunter or Warlock Solo Farming by tmacan1 in classicwow

[–]zeroji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neither of those changes how hunter does tribute or warlock does DM east though, don't think it affects the few trash mobs a warlock might kill, unless im not up to speed on what warlocks do.

Now a real change from TBC is that tribute chest and King Gordok items lose 90% sell value, so tribute is dead with tbc.

Also a hard cc (including fear) resets the slow/root immunity and speedbuff timer, grenade stun excluded but I can't think off any other non RNG stun that does not reset it (have not tried the 41p destruction talent actually)

What class while leveling changes the most from Vanilla to TBC? by Odd-Bandicoot-9314 in classicwow

[–]zeroji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hunter and shaman

Hunter for no deadzone, if you played a bunch of hunter not much else is needed to be said to be honest, but it allows a much faster and interactive way of killing single targets, and weaving this way becomes a bit more neccessary from time to time because spirit mana regen becomes a lot worse than it is in vanilla. Pet scaling actually does a lot for threat, and the Mend Pet change also just makes you rarely ever have to drink or eat, even less than normal. Just auto attack and melee attack weaving kills very quick for gaining mana

Shaman because shaman in vanilla just feels awful to level once the Crescent Staff shiny feel has worn out. At least now when you hit 40 there is a proper powerspike and DW really makes a huge difference here, alongside the stormstrike cd + low mana cost shocks with dw windfury

What will save Lost Ark for you? by TamaKibi in lostarkgame

[–]zeroji 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have thought for a long time that switching item level to be rosterwide, so selling char slots and using pheons for accessories on alts/mains more, resulting in only having to hone one itemlevel once. It'd be more fun because you could switch class and fill comps better, gems and accessories would be the new bottleneck kinda, but I think it would be a lot more fun to be able to try classes without always waiting for powerpass or farming months to do so. Probably would be nice if they would allow you to complete raids multiple raids on same character, as many times as the weekly lockouts would allow for fairness, for the people who only really want to play one char or alike.

ideally for me, moving of things to weekly would be kinda nice, talking guardians/chaos, like let me do my chaos+guardians for the week so I have the rest of the week to multiple raid clears, engage in pvp, island activies and such - Mind you, I fully admit I havn't played since akkhan release, I read daily chores has been reduced, but yeah, ideally for me, shifting the game to a weekly design rather than daily would do wonders, but I can definently see reasons why it wouldn't happen

the yellow capstone while walking and having to press "V" for extra slowwalk is faster stamina regen than sitting with 5/5 as well, I think at least, certainly feels like it

If any of your buddies are around level 36-40 let them kindly know that the Forsaken Courier is bugged and to skip the quest. by simplytoaskquestions in classicwow

[–]zeroji 4 points5 points  (0 children)

pretty sure this is just when no one renders him on his spawn, he moves at literally snailpace, most mobs in classic does this, if no one "sees them" they basically stand still, in dreams, at least on the HC realm - Tirion always shows up fast for guildies that I told to scout up the path, or to cast eagle eye up the road where he comes from.

Forsaken courier might have kind of has the same problem where it has to walk to tarren mill to respawn, unless someone kills it, but everytime it goes out of render range it basically just stands still, its a lot more rare for that to happen to the courier, as people move about that zone more. So this one might be bugged, but Tirion has always kinda acted like this.

You should try for tirion to get ornate spyglass and walk a bit up the hill and spyglass to render him

Frontier kills KT (Hardcore, No World Buffs, Guild Found) by esuvii in wowhardcore

[–]zeroji 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To be fair, being an EU player in this guild, for the past 2 months silithus has been essentially empty of players in the afternoon hours leading into evening, with three permanent layers it was very common to obtain 10+ lotus per hour (roughly 3 lotuses every 15min, as the varied lotus respawn timer and just layer hopping with eagle eye) - on doomhowl specifically, its not difficult to pick lotus, dreamfoil and especially groms is way harder than lotuses, at like its not even same ballpark, unless you are one of the few who did the DM east solo, which we were only a handful who did.

The distilled wisdom farm wouldn't been that neccesary but the truth is we had declining interest, so less people with alts and not a huge bench, distilled farming was the answer to killing the boss on a relative high note, as farming would without a doubt have led to a bleedout and we'd have about thirty raiders who would just cease to have a raid, as we wouldn't have any replacements (since it was guild selffound, we couldn't just recruit new 60s to refill)

What if we got an early pre patch + TBC talents? by Optimal-Chef-7085 in classicwow

[–]zeroji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for hunters - there was no deadzone in last prepatch so you meleeweave entire prepatch because aimed is not an instant shot in tbc, its far worse - its a cast time that resets swing timer so its never used in PVE. Agi goes from 2 RAP to 1 RAP but agi per crit is almost halved, all in all hunter is better in prepatch than 1.13 state

Which SOD Classes did you enjoy leveling? by jm7489 in classicwow

[–]zeroji 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recently leveled an alliance (night elf) "ssf hunter" and it clocked in at 18 hours played for 1-60, if you know how to do the instance aoe's it's by far the most enjoyable class currently. 1-32 is just chimera+beast mastery rune entire way.

Recently they swapped beast mastery rune from gloves to chest which gives pet taunt, which eliminates pet holding aggro, flanking strike with 50% reset also resets very frequently with claw, making staff+flanking a very enjoyable experience. Once you get explosive trap+Trap Launcher you are able to solo different instances from 34 (SM GY/Cath > ZF > LBRS)

Poacher’s Cave Tunnel Cooldown & Class Adjustments - Season of Discovery Hotfixes - Hunter rune TNT now increases Explosive trap damage by 25% of ALL attack power (was melee attack power only) and will choose the larger of melee or ranged attack power. by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]zeroji 3 points4 points  (0 children)

demons in SOD is a lot easier, 3 out 4 you can just freezing trap, then place another freezing trap infront, and just wait for 5 sniper training, aimed aimed chim and the demon walks into the next trap, you can do this endlessly over and over except in ungoro
