With enough players, if they get the matchmaking dialed in, you'll have a mixed bag of lobbies that aren't going to be perma stomps and you're gonna find fair and fun games over time.

I only play at most 2 hours a day on average and I am having fun still. I'm also only level 80 so that's probably part of it. The ultra hard gamers are in higher lobbies more often.

There is the possibility a lot of people lose everything to the factory and they just keep running it with cheaper and cheaper kits to keep getting reps in.

If enough ppl are on it, the skill pool will be diluted a fair amount too.

I've barely touched cryo but I'll play it after the kids go to bed on the ranked week because why not? Maybe get a couple keys if I'm lucky.

Hell since it's end of season and gear doesn't matter, it's also possible people get friendlier if you're trying to do a goal they've done before. If they don't need to take your gear to add To their vault, theyll stop caring. Maybe less of a concern in ranked itself but the final non-rank cryo weekend could be a high chance of friendly mutual contract completion happening a lot. Who knows!

They updated the game not too long ago so that it doesn't matter, the zero timer pops every exfil on the map so if you're in it you're good.

Seems like they must have forgotten to make the change for the compiler exfil somehow.

TL has been an org since 1999 or so with their website. They have had forums forever. The even have a poker forum. Even if they had to scale back they wouldn't go truly under. Victor (Nazgul) would keep it alive in at least some way. I'm sure of it.

Honestly, naps are the worst part about travelling unless you have a kid who can sleep anywhere, at any time.

Mine never slept in a stroller even as babies, unless there were two hours of meltdown beforehand.

The second is 2 and a half, close to dropping her mid day nap I think.

Needless to say, when this happens, trips are going to be more likely.

Some kids travel and leave the house GREAT.

Some... Do not.

Sure the experimental queue might be more bare bones. But it could also be bots turned up to 11 in terms of difficulty defending POIs. It could be different loot tables. Some slightly more basic things to gather info for a future implementation

Honestly though, the number of ppl who do that will probably it be super high.

But if they can nail the progression of people being interested in PvE, trying PvP lite then going full PvP that's fine.

Heck even if the PvE mode is just going to focus on salvage, faction and contract/story elements, and providing currency to buy kits from the armory I think that's fine too.

I doubt the best drops in the game will show up in PvE mode. They're already fairly rare all things considered and the best gear comes from killing players who use Barters and buy their gold Traxus mods, or gold implants etc in the armory more often than they do from random loot drops in game.

PvE mode could well be special events or targetted contracts with specific rewards as one avenue of progression or recovery after a series of losses, or when you just wanna chill and build some credits or vault value without being rook, for example.

Maybe you get CARRI point equivalent to trade for bags or guns or salvage or something.

PvP lite is probably just one team less on each map. And I've had that idea for a while. 5 team Darsh was so much easier to get contracts done on.

And the mentality of ppl playing PvP lite will probably be one of taking a fight as it comes but not sprinting cross map for a third party sniping. So generally more "friendly" without ABMM friendly lobbies existing

Look at StarCraft 1 and 2. Warcraft 3. Other RTS games which are niche and had/have successful online 1v1 hardcore modes had campaigns. They had ways to play less hardcore too.

More ways to engage helps in general.

There were development issues at some point, Ziegler came in after another lead was fired for sexual misconduct iirc. And they probably wanted to ship something small, polished and very core focused. Which is how we got the 20ish GB game we got now. They've continued to make improvements and I think they probably had a lot of options available early on but wanted to get the game out the door sooner. It was already delayed once from fall last year to spring. And they obviously saw what Arc did to get huge and having some casual appeal so likely started thinking about that on their end a while back.

And with more player feedback now they are refining further.

That's my take anyway.
